Yea, but for the wrong reason...  He was upset that Akane would hate him for killing Ranma. Remember, Ryoga ran off before Ranma came back to life.  The last thing he herd was Akane screeming about how she loved Ranma... Thats why he left in remorse....  Now as to how he found Ranma & Akane in the alley, or for that matter how he knew Ranma was alive will be told in the last chapter Chapter 17.....

I got the idea that after it was done, Ryouga wasn't quite so sure he 
wanted to kill Ranma anymore.  Didn't he run off to wander around in 
remorse afterward or something..?
