I've got it!  Staked to growing bamboo and forced to watch Barney and the 
O.J. Simpson trial (every tv station live broadcast and analysis and 
movie and interview, etc.) for the rest of his short life!  Yes!  Oh, 
wait, let's just skip the bamboo and go with Barney and O.J.  

*Saf grins evilly at the thought of watching 'Crombie turn into a mass of 
cowering jelly as his brain cells die one by one*
