Has anybody read a 'work-in-progress' KOR story from the ftp.std.com archive
by the name of "Something in your Eyes"?

This has *got* to be THE most depressing fan story I have ever read!  (IMO,
it's even more depressing than the KOR movie)

For those who haven't read it, but are interested in what's happened so far,

OK

The story starts with Kyosuke and Madoka getting engaged because she's
pregnant.  Hikaru finds out, gets upset and angry in a major way, and drags
Yusaku along with her when she goes to take retribution on the happy couple.
(Yuu can't talk her out of it)  So she ambushes them and clobbers Madoka
(causing her to miscarry).  Later she shows up at the Kasuga residence
acting as if nothing has happened.

In the meantime, a drunken Kyosuke runs across Yuu-kun in a restaurant and
proceeds to beat the snot out of him.  (Yuu tells him to go ahead and kill
him because he deserves it.)  Later Yuu goes to Hikaru's house and tells her
*exactly* what he thinks of her (she shows no remorse at all).  Then he
commits seppuku.

Kyosuke and Madoka are having problems as he feels guilty over not having
been able to stop Hikaru's attack, but they slowly start putting their lives
back together.  Hikaru, in the meantime, has started drinking and drugging
and sleeping around.  At the end of the story (where it currently stands) it
looks like Hikaru has just OD'd on booze and pills.


Like I said, mondo depressing!
