Does being together in this manner count as lemon?  Does the leadup to a

IMHO:

Depending on the amount of nudity, the first scene could be rated anywhere
from PG-13 to NC-17 by the current standards, unless I'm out of date again,
in which case, it would be no worse than R-rated.

The second scene could even be a G if the "hotel" had no explicit
advertising visible and the characters made very little or no reference to
their planned activity.  Worst case, unless very graphic advertising or
explicit dialogue occurred, would be a PG-13 rating.

I would not, personally, consider either scenario to be a "lemon"  situation.
