I ought to finish one story before I started a new one. But I got stuck. In the mean time, I came up with this idea.......

Ah! Megami-sama:
Crossover
A fanfic by
Chan Wei Lik
Notes: All characters are from Kosuke Fujishima's manga "Ah!
Megami-sama" and are copyrighted as such.
Obvious from the title, this is a crossover. But I haven't heard
of a crossover like this one before.
"Plug that blue wire into its receptacle, Keiichi."
Glumly, Morisato Keiichi complied. It had started out as a
regular morning, he had finished breakfast and was chatting with
Belldandy while she packed his lunch for him. Then Skuld came along.
"Ah! Just the man I was looking for. I need you help Keiichi."
she said as she dragged him to her room, playfully labeled as "Skuld's
Research Lab".
"I don't have time for this!" Keiichi protested, "I have to get to
class on time!"
"You'll have enough time." Skuld replied, "This won't take very
long." as she opened the door and pushed him inside.
Keiichi stared at the machine in the middle of the room. It had a
rather clunky appearance. It was about half his height and there were
unidentifiable protrusions on its sides.
"What is it?" Skuld said, anticipating his question, "It's a
device to study the space-time fabric in the vicinity." she explained.
"I figured since I was here for `further studies' I might as well do
some...... studying."
Uh huh, Keiichi remembered. A few months ago, Urd had been
temporarily recalled for `retraining' while Skuld was asked to return
to apply for permission for `further studies in the mortal realm'. It
had been a golden opportunity for Keiichi to be alone with his
sweetheart goddess Belldandy, but he had wasted it......
Skuld went to one side of the machine, her skirt flowing behind
her. She indicated that Keiichi should get to the other side.
"Some of the connections on both sides need to been done at the
same time." she explained, "That's why I need your help."
So Keiichi plugged in wires and other components as Skuld
directed. He wondered if she was doing this just to make him spend
less time with her sister.
"Why couldn't you ask Urd to help?" he asked as he plugged
several cables into a central junction.
"Would you ask _her_ to help fix your bike?" Skuld retorted
angrily.
"Right....." Keiichi kicked himself mentally. Wrong question.
"There, done!" Skuld said as she closed a panel. "Another
excellent job if I do say so myself!" she smiled and her eyes were
twinkling as she said that, she always took pride in her creations.
"Now to test it." Skuld said as she flipped a switch.
With a low hum, the machine came to life. I hope it doesn't
explode, thought Keiichi, still sitting close to the machine on the
other side. It occurred to him that it would be a very good idea to
relocate himself.....
But, before he could react, he was hit by a wave of nausea. It
seemed that he was being turned inside out repeatedly. It was getting
hard to breath, the air just wouldn't move. Reality seemed to be
breaking down around him, colors shifted from one end of the
spectrum to the other, his vision went from sharp to blur and back
again. Even his thought processes seemed jerky.
"Turn that...... thing..... OFF!" he managed to shout with the
last of his strength.
The machine wasn't responding properly. Although it appeared
to be working, all Skuld could see on her monitor was garbage. She
was wondering what went wrong when she noticed a shimmering effect
coming from the other side of the machine. Then she heard Keiichi
scream, and immediately shut it off.
Hearing his scream, Belldandy also came running into the room.
She saw Keiichi crouched on the floor, in obvious discomfort, and
quickly ran to his side.
"Oh Keiichi-san, what happened? Are you aright?" Belldandy
asked anxiously.
The moment Skuld turned off the machine, whatever had held
Keiichi released him instantly. Then he felt Belldandy embrace him.
"I'm.... fine now... just let me... rest...." he replied and rested
in her embrace, forgetting everything else.......
Then he noticed Skuld.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Skuld asked.
Keiichi got up, "That's it! No more. I'm leaving." he left the
room shakily with Belldandy's help. Leaving Skuld to puzzle out
where she went wrong......
By the time he reached his bike, Keiichi was his normal self
again. He inhaled the fresh morning air.
"In a few more months, I'll be graduating." he said.
By his side, Belldandy asked, "What will you do then?"
"I suppose I'll join the research faculty, like the sempais." he
replied, having thought about it already. "I mean, can you imagine me
being a mechanic in some second-rate garage?"
Belldandy smiled, "You're right." she nodded.
Keiichi was about to get on his bike when something, or rather
the absence of something, caught his eye.
"What the....." he muttered as he ran into the courtyard.
"What is it Keiichi-san?" Belldandy asked as she followed him.
Approaching the trees that surrounded the temple, Keiichi saw
grass was already obscuring the char marks.
"Why..... Who chopped down the cherry tree.... for firewood?"
Keiichi asked, mystified.
"Don't... don't you remember, Keiichi-san?" Belldandy asked,
worried, how could he forget? It was so important!
"Remember what?" Keiichi asked, wondering what was going on.
-------
Keiichi stared at the cherry tree, blinking in disbelief. It was in
full bloom, lovely cherry blossoms covered its branches.
"Beautiful isn't it, Keiichi-san? The whole tree looks so bright
and cheerful." Belldandy said from beside him, "It started blomming
a few days ago." She smiled at the tree, then turned to look at Keiichi,
still smiling.
This was impossible, "Don't... don't you remember, Belldandy?"
Keiichi asked, staring at her.
"Remember what?" Belldandy asked, puzzled.
__To be continued__
(if possible)
The origins of this story was those last two scenes you read. I
couldn't get them out of my head, so I had to write it down. Now, I
wonder if I can make it a complete story.

Now that you've read it, got any ideas on how to finish it?
