Ordinarily, maybe.  But in this universe only one curse is made permanent at 
one time.  Therefore only a cure is only possible when someone is not cursed 
by one of the boy/girl ponds.  This also eliminates the inconsistency that 
arises when you have all these characters and none of them was smart enough to 
ask the guide which pool would cure them.  This would have been explained in 
Episode 2.

       Tofu *is* his given name; his family name is Ono.

Is it?  I know it is a point of confusion among some fanfic writers.  Are we 
sure that Tofu is not the family name and his given name is Ono?
