Chapter 8:  The Festival - Part III

Ryoga was lost.  Somehow while heading toward the bathroom that 
morning he had suddenly found himself on the street.  He ran to get 
back to the dojo, but had just made it worse.  He thought that he was 
still in Tokyo, but he wasn't sure.

There seemed to be some sort of festival going on; that seemed to be 
good news.  Most places didn't have festivals until after New Year's.  
There seemed to be some sort of commotion brewing behind him.

Various female voices:  "Get him!  That's the guy that felt me up!  
	He stole my panties!"

Ryoga turns around and is promptly knocked backwards when a foot 
lands in his face.

Happosai:  "My poor Nodoka!  I haven't found you yet, but still... 
	what a haul of silky darlings!"

Ryoga is subsequently run over by a mob of women chasing 
Happosai.

Dr. Tofu walks out of the first aid station holding hands with 
Kasumi, seemingly returned to sanity.  No one approaches the two, 
however.  Dr. Tofu sees the still unconscious Kuno on the ground.

Dr. Tofu:  "Oh look, an injured boy!  Don't worry, I'm a doctor!"

Dr. Tofu starts to examine Kuno, who regains consciousness.  Kuno 
is surprised to find his head at a right angle to his body.

Dr. Tofu:  "Hmm... seems to be a simple head injury."

Dr. Tofu suddenly turns Kuno's head so that it rests normally on the 
shoulders.  Kuno faints at the pain.  Kasumi walks next to Nabiki.

Nabiki:  [whispering]  "So what did the two of you do in there?"
Kasumi:  [whispering]  "We just kissed."
Nabiki:  [whispering]  "Oh, come on."
Kasumi:  [whispering]  "We just kissed... and linked minds like we 
	did that first night... and like we do when we're making 
	love..."

Nabiki blushes.  Kasumi giggles.

Kasumi:  "Well, you did ask..."

If Happosai were here, then that meant that he was still in Tokyo!  
Ryoga decides to join the chase for Happosai figuring that the old 
lecher would eventually lead him back to the Tendo Dojo (or at least 
to one of the Tendos or Saotomes).

Kodachi hopped across the street looking for her brother, who would 
lead her to her Darling Ranma.  She eventually made it to some sort 
of quaint mochi pounding area.  She spots her brother lying 
unconscious on the ground.  Kodachi twirls her ribbon and lifts a 
pot of hot water, emptying the contents onto Kuno's head and 
dumping the containers of rice onto the ground.

Kodachi:  "Brother, where is my Darling Ranma?  You said that 
	he'd be here!"

Ranma and Akane and Ukyou walk back toward the first aid station, 
laughing, hands holding onto small prizes.  There appeared to be 
some sort of commotion there, and they stop just before they reach 
it.  It appeared to be Kodachi and Kuno.

Kuno:  "Saotome, you villain!  You continue to violate the fair 
	Akane Tendo with your presence!  You must suffer the 
	punishment of the just for your defilement of her purity!"
Kodachi:  "Darling Ranma... I will rid you of the evil influence of 
	Akane Tendo forever and you will regain your sanity by 
	making love to me!"

The two siblings prepare to attack Ranma and Akane.  They stop 
when a voice rings through the air.  It comes from the inspector, 
who is flanked by two policemen and who is holding his official 
identification booklet in front of him.  Cologne and Hinako step to 
one side to watch the proceedings.

Inspector:  "Kodachi Kuno, you are hereby placed under arrest.   
	Surrender peacefully."
Kuno:  "How dare you drag the noble name of Kuno through the 
	mud like this!  I will not stand..."

Kuno's speech is abruptly cut short when Kodachi twirls her ribbon 
and around him and launches his body toward the police officers.  
The inspector rolls under the approaching body, takes out his bolas 
and twirls it as Kuno knocks the two policemen to the ground.  
Kodachi's ribbon next wraps around Soun, but he is dropped to the 
ground when the inspector's bolas wrap around Kodachi's arm and 
cause her to drop the ribbon with their impact.

Ukyou:  [whispering]  "You two better try to lose them.  I'll meet you 
	back at Uc-chan's."

Ukyou takes the prizes as Ranma and Akane jump to one of the 
rooftops to get away.  Kodachi sees them leave and quickly follows 
them.  Kuno gets up from his impact and attacks the inspector with 
his bokken held high.  The inspector dodges the blow, rolling to 
onto the street.

Inspector:  "She's getting away!  After her!"
Kuno:  "Attack!  Attack!  Attack!"

The inspector is driven backwards while dodging Kuno's blows.  He 
trips on one of the mochi steamers lying on the ground and falls 
backwards.  Kuno chuckles to himself, raising his bokken high for 
the final blow.

Kuno:  "Victory is mine!"

The inspector continues his backward roll.  He grabs a bamboo 
steamer full of rice and when his feet touch the ground he springs 
right at Kuno, twisting his body around so that it straightened out 
while in flight.  Kuno, not expecting an attack, is unable to bring his 
bokken down fast enough from its high position; the inspector 
shoves the container of mochi rice into Kuno's face.  The inspector 
continues his attack and his momentum causes Kuno to fall onto his 
back, defeated.

Inspector:  [to policemen]  "All right, arrest him for obstruction of 
	justice and creating a public disturbance.  I'm going after 
	the girl."

The inspector grabs Kuno's bokken and Kodachi's discarded ribbon, 
then follows his prey onto the rooftops.  Over to the side, Soun has 
started to cry.

Soun:  "Oh, how can my heirs just run away..."

One of Nabiki's friends from school comes over to talk with her.

Girl:  "Say, Nabiki.  Isn't that your dad?"
Nabiki:  [staring at the ice slick forming around her father]  "Never 
	saw him before."

Cologne gestures to Hinako.

Cologne:  "At times like these, I'd better check on the status of my 
	own restaurant."

Hinako follows Cologne as they leave for the Cat Cafe.  The crowd 
that has gathered around the first aid station suddenly parts as a 
giant alligator comes through and continues to follow the inspector 
and Kodachi.  Soun suddenly falls over.

Zoo-1:  "Missed!"
Zoo-2:  "Did you see which way he went?"
Zoo-1:  "I think he went this way."

One zookeeper continues to follow the alligator tracks.  The other 
stops to talk to Dr. Tofu, who has been standing in front of the first 
aid booth.

Zoo-2:  "Don't worry, its just a tranquilizer.  He should be all right 
	in a couple of hours.  If he starts to experience delusions, 
	call this number."

The zookeeper hands Dr. Tofu his card, then leaves to follow Mr. 
Turtle.  Ukyou walks up to Nabiki.

Ukyou:  "I told Ranma and Akane to meet us at Uc-chan's."

Nabiki nods and informs Kasumi.  Dr. Tofu carries Soun into the 
clinic while Nabiki and Ukyou leave.  Dr. Tofu returns to clean up 
the mess and to continue the mochi pounding; as people start to 
return the two policemen continue to try to pry the steamer from 
Kuno's head.

Happosai bounces a few seconds ahead of the horde of girls 
following him.  He suddenly smells a familiar scent and veers off in 
that direction.  Within a minute he arrives at the Cat Cafe and 
gladly hugs Shampoo, nestling his face between her breasts.  
Shampoo screams.

Happosai bounces to a steamer where he takes a couple of 
dumplings and leaves before the angry mob can catch up to him.

Happosai:  "Thank you for the meal, Shampoo!  I'll pay you later!"
Shampoo:  "Happosai go too far!  Happosai kill!"

Shampoo runs into the house to get her bonbori and starts to chase 
Happosai, one step ahead of the rest of the women.

Cologne and Hinako arrive at the restaurant not longer after 
Shampoo leaves.

Shampoo runs in front of the crowd of angry women chasing 
Happosai.  The old lech would pay this time.  There were certain 
rules from Jokusetzuku that could never be abandoned, and he had 
just violated one of them.  No one felt up an amazon with impunity!

It didn't call for the Kiss of Death, but it did call for grievous bodily 
injury, which Shampoo found she would be quite happy to deliver.

Ryoga was surrounded by angry women as he chased Happosai.  He 
looks toward the front, recognizing Shampoo.  Unfortunately while 
distracted his hand brushes against the body of one of his neighbors 
and they both instantaneously stop.  Ryoga's face turns red.

Ryoga:  "Umm... Eh-heh... It was an accident?"

The women who he touched slaps him and he finds himself being 
slapped by every girl that passes him.  Until he falls down.  Then he 
gets trampled.

Ryoga gets up and tries not to lose the mob of women.
