Thanks.....it is totally true that Ranma has confessed his love and/or 
affections for Akane many times without their relationship ever getting better.
Akane seems to think that Ranma should be true to her when she never 
shows or tells anyone that she likes him.  He is always allowing Akane to 
beat him up......Does anyone think there is something very wrong with this 
situation?......(and that perhaps Akane isn't the one Ranma should marry?.:)

Although, it should be pointed out that in the "Contrary Jewel" OVA, once
Akane is wearing the broach, she sheds her inhibitions and tells Ranma, in
no uncertain terms, that she loves him *A LOT*

I have always felt that she loves Ranma, but her emotions are more heavily
shielded than his.  That's why she is seen to rebuff him when he tells her
how he feels IMHO.
