BubbleGumCrisis (or BGC as it is referred to around here) is an 8 part
anime series about four women who live in "MegaTokyo", the Tokyo City of the
year 2033. The city has just begun to recover from a severe earthquake, that
has destroyed much, but opened up opportunities for the enterprising. 
One of these women, Sylia Stingray, has brought the other three
women together as a "team", to fight against rampaging cybernetic beings
known as "Boomers", manufactured by a corrupt, but powerful company called
"Genom".

Sylia's father, Katsuhito Stingray, created the first boomer prototypes for
productive purposes, but was killed in a mysterious explosion, when Sylia was
very young. Some time later Sylia recieved a data cartridge that contained
technical readouts of her father's research. This research included boomers, hi-tech armored "hard-suits", and many other things. When Sylia "viewed" this information, it seemed to interface directly with her brain, becoming a
permanent memory, with crystal clarity. Suspicion, and the mysterious
circumstances surrounding her father's death, drove Sylia to use the
information her father left for her, to begin a battle against Genom, the
company that she believed was behind her father's death. Together with Priss
Asagiri, Nene Romanova and Linna Yamazaki, Sylia formed a powerful, hi-tech,
armored, mercenary force called "The Knight Sabers".
