C'mon Kev, you let Hikaru off the hook _far_ too easily. This is
_Ranma 1/2_! Where's the explosions? The weird martial arts? The mock
drama? Hikaru should have barely escaped with his life! (Though he should
still escape, of course, and defeat the others. I've no argument against
the guy.)
Er....I was aiming for a more....long-term...retribution. Besides, I had
class in an hour, what did you expect? :)
More technical problem: If Tsubasa had glomped onto Gosunkugi, surely
even Kuno, or at least Kodachi (who isn't quite as dumb as her brother)
would have noticed that the ball had sprouted arms and legs and was
therefore probably not really a basketball (making Hikaru's life secure).
And how was he to escape the ball, unnoticed by Hikaru, while the game was
in progress? My idea was that Tsubasa could not possibly escape, hence the
problem.
Ah, but if Tsubasa can get into things without being noticed, it stands
to reason that he can get *out* of things without being noticed. Besides,
Hikaru'd go nuts once he found out Tsubasa skipped out--I figure Hikaru'd
(try to) go gunnin' for whoever he thought took Tsu-chan away from him.
In short, I was a bit disappointed myself.
That's ok. At least it wasn't the blunt dismissal Childhood's End got. :P
Foxtrot, do you want to give it a go? You said you wanted to write the
section after mine. We can have the ML judge which is better and go with
that...
Nah, don't bother with the judging--I'm sure Foxtrot's the better
writer--as I've only been actively writing for just a few months :)
So--I'd really love to see Foxtrot's take on the situation. :)
