Jeez. It was showing in two different cinemas here in Brisbane... and
Canada had *none*? I find it hard to believe.
Believe it. Movie theatres up here don't show anything but mainstream
stuff. Small, non-mass market films don't get shown up here, except maybe
for MONTHS after the movie has been out. I believe the Princess Cinema in
Waterloo works that way.
Some of the university anime clubs are able to get advance screenings of
some OVAs to come out. The anime club at my old university (Called 'Ctrl-A'
or Control-A) has done that on occasion.
Other than that, if Canadian anime fans want to see this stuff we've either
got to wait for the OVA videos, or pray that there might be a showing close
enough to the border to drive to in the US.
