Hey, Phoenix, i'll be glad to tell u one of Stackpole's novels: Lethal
Heritage.  That is the first book in the trilogy *written by STACKPOLE* that
introduces the clans.  Stackpole has actually written appoximately half
of the Battletech novels, so it shouldn't be difficult to find his books.
Any way, hope u enjoy the rest of his books, i sure did <grin>.

        By George your right! Lethal Heritage is one of Stackpoles novels.
