Hmm.... Btw, this is an account on another's system, right?  Well, might 
want to contact the sysop or admin and perhaps ask them to double check 
the libraries...  Or perhaps check to see what the system itself offers 
in way of irc products....  Or maybe... opt for a slip/ppp line.  Then 
use something like Mirc.
