The primary thing with the curse is the attitude. I would view it
as a curse...it would be a serious blow to my fragile male ego, and would
probably prevent me from ever having a normal relationship with anyone ever
again. I'd get used to it in time, and would probably use it to my advantage
at some point, but it would be difficult to forget the pain of the first
moments after it happened. Others...who foresee no such problems...would
not view it as a curse.
Most people view a volcano erupting as a bad thing, a curse if you will.
However...it also produces some of the richest farming soil available. To
those who lose their homes and lives, it's a curse, but to those who use
the land afterwards, it's a blessing. And, for some of them, it's both.
