I use pine. It shows the poster rather than the sender(fanfic@...).  There is
a pc version of it for windows.  PcPine.  You can find it on
oak.oakland.edu... I think.  Upgrades of it can be had from *argh* Washington
something university's ftp site. *groan* Sorry, can't remember much more than
that. -_-

     Eudora lite works well, also. It's similar to Eudora Pro, but is
missing a few features (like spell check), but it's free.

My favorite is Pegasus Mail.  It offers features on a level with Eudora Pro, is 
easier to use, and is free.  I don't recall the URL for it, but I'm sure you'll 
find it on TUCOWS or Yahoo.
