I'm impressed... it is not often that I read something in which I
can truly say I hurt for a character. Any flaws I found (not many) have
already been pointed out (mostly grammatical), but there was one point
which deserves further consideration.
As it has already been said, it is not likely that Ranma, even in
girl-form (though he IS considerably weaker in that form) could be
physically defeated by ordinary thugs except under extreme
circumstances. Note that I didn't say it's impossible... strange things
happen for which there is little explanation... but it is not likely. It
would add to the story a good deal if a reason for his defeat were more
clear.
Otherwise, an excellent piece of work, covering a very difficult
subject. A question, and a possible answer: Why does Akane suddenly
discover a ki-power? The only possible reason I can see is that her
concern for Ranma and her desire to protect her has brought about a new
level of resolution in her... perhaps it can be attributed to the sheer
force of will which she is exerting to keep things under some level of
control? If this is, or is not, the case, you might want to elaborate on
it some more.
I look forward to seeing more of the story.
