you know... I was reading some old Ranma (I had just scanned the ultra cool
cover if anyone wants it... has Ryouga, Mousse, and Ranma on it. Ryouga is
wearing a shirt with a tiger on it, Ranma has a dragon on his, and mousse a
phoenix? [some sort of bird]) and I noticed this section at the end.

VIZ Part 3 # 7 Part 14 Kitten of the Sea (after Watermelon Beach Story)

       Ranma wants to thank Akane for diving in the water (even though she
can't swim) to try and save him. Here are his thoughts:

"Akane, you duh... duh... Dear. When you jumped in and nearly killed...
SAVED me.. I could've just kicked... KISSED you... So thanks. Really."

Isn' this just a LITTLE bit too romantic for Ranma? Is this a bad
translation or what? 
can anyone tell me what he REALLY said ?! Arigatou in advance.
