To the members of the Fanfic Mailing List,

After perusing the mail that has built up over the last 36
hours while I was out of town, it has come to my attention that I
should "'fess up" to my crime. I cannot hide it any longer.

I, Erin Mills version 2.5, am guilty of inserting myself into a
fanfic, with the intension of making said character the hero. I am
speaking specifically of "The Great Anime Crossover From Hell!!!"
The idea was concieved after reading too many damn crossover fics
and the, it seems, cordially despised "Crys Saga." At the time, it
seemed like a good idea, and I had no idea that inserting yourself as
a character was a crime in fanfic writing. I simply thought that if I
was going to bring anime characters into the real world, it would be
logical to make the person who'd stop the whole mess a "real-
worlder," and since in most of my non-fanfic stuff, my major male
lead was usually a disgused version of me (sometimes more heavily
disguised than others.) I figured I might as well be blatant for a
change.
However, in the case of TGACFH!!!, I have found that I am
slipping into the trap of making the real worlder too powerful. Thank
God for my co-author Chris Willmore and the mail I have recently
recieved. Whether TGACFH!!! will continue or not is under
consideration.
    Thank you for your time.
