Parents?! What about all those screaming and crying kids we've heard so
much about? I've been told that the ending of the first season of Sailor
Moon almost permanently traumatized an entire generation of little kids in
Japan <g>

Obviously the animator came to his/her senses, realized the horror they
had unleashed on a helpless mankind, and made amends in the only
acceptable way.
Unfortunately, they all come back to life. Worse yet, it's done in what
can only be termed a rather touching way. They showed it at my anime
club, and I was looking forward to it, since I'd heard the same thing.
Woe be to me, I was actually touched by it...
