Yes, I realize that's okay, but Ranma didn't cut himself first... he just
asked his mother to do it. Wouldn't THAT be less (maybe not dis-) honorable?
In all the anime/tales I've seen/read, the failed warrior always kills (or
tries to kill) himself before his master (in this case Ranma's mother) kills
him.
