Ah, but she's still doing the setup.  You can't expect the
similarities and overlappings of the two stories to show right in
the first sentences.

In fact, I thought that Ranma's curse was brought in too early.  I
would have him acquire it during his journey.  Remember that
Westley come back from the pirate life as a *changed man*. :)

It's a pity that I won't be here for some time now, and can't view
the process.
