Nah... None of the Ranma characters are short on guts, really.  Not real
long on brains either, but no shortage of guts.  Zen just took exception to
Kun-chan's blanket assertion that Mousse was a snivelling coward.  Zen is
son of two lawyers, so argument is second nature.

       Go check out the battle/magical gi story in volume 32.  When Akane
goes to 100%
potenial, she beats Ranma in five seconds flat and there is nothing Ranma
can do about
that.  I think Akane goes into her pull potenial momentarily when she's
angry and that's
how she beats up Ranma.  I mean, sometimes Akane can seriously hurt Ranma,
like the
Cursed Jewel episode.  Ranma went into the hospital from Akane's punch.
Even if Ranma
feels guilty, he shouldn't get hurt that bad unless Akane was the one
getting stronger.

Zen will check these out.  Of course Akane is getting stronger - but so is
Ranma.  Besides - how do you know that deep down Saotome Ranma is not
suicidal?  Ghoddess knows, he has enough reason!  (Relax, that is not a
serious attempt at an explanation)  ^_^
