Actually, there are a number of group-moderated newsgroups already. The
example I think of immediately (someone mentioned this on raa) is
alt.humor.best-of-usenet . Before it was group-modded, new posts came
out once/twice a week. Now, I'd say it gets new posts once/twice a day.
It's harder to do, obviously, but I think it would be a win if it could be
implemented reasonably.
