Lemmie know what you think, private or public, you decide.
The intro was great! Ans although it has a lot of posibilities, it feels a
little bit to close to WildCards for my taste. But then I'm not writing
anything. =)
Actually, the only thing similar is the scale of the influence and
'labeling' of powers. (Like Aces, Jokers, Deuces)
But the major plot twists in Wild Cards was that the powers were activated
by an alien virus that killed 90-95 % of the timeof the survivors only 10%
were Aces.
People also feared they'd catch the Wild Card like they do aids.
In my setting, it doen't matter about those already affected. Everyone's a
target and people usually do not become deformed like jokers. Unheard of
to die of it. SO there's less fear in the general public, and that can
make a big diff. And the Gods can take better care of themselves than Aces
can. The most powerful Aces would be more like Demis, The rest similar to
Avatars, save Avatars can switch between forms and revert back when
tired. So: Don't mess with a God, unless you are one.
"Are you a God?" said Zuul.
"Well... no," Ray answered hesitantly.
"Then..." Zuul twisted her torso to the side, winding up. "....DIE!!"
Streamers of energy almost blew the Ghostbusters of the top of the
building. When she stopped, they climbed more towards the center of the
platform.
"Ray," Venckman offered, "when someone asks if you're a God
you... say... YES!!" he finished with a shout and Ray cringed a little.
