I'm running out of steam with these things, so I thought
I would get some input. First of all, I think Classic
Reviews needs to be retitled, as the fanfics are getting
newer and newer. Any ideas?
Second, I'm looking for suggestions of fanfics to review.
A few prerequisites on the what I review/what I don't:
1) No BGC, Dragonball, Robotech, Sailor Moon, etc.. I
really don't have the inclination to get into these, so
a review would be unfair. I really think someone else
should review a few BGC fics for those of us who don't
know the show that well.
Worlds of Fanfic I review: Ranma, Ah My Goddess, UY, MI
(not that there are any MI), and *maybe* Dirty Pair.
2) No author stories, please. I know some of them are
excellent, but it's just a bugaboo with me. The only
author fanfic I've *ever* been able to read is Brett Handy's
"Oh My God", and I had problems with that. So, no Twisted
Undocumented Otaku Chinese Bubblegum Samurai Zone stuff.
Sorry to all those authors who write them, but I just don't
get on with that kind of story.
3) Despite the fact that *I* write these, avoid really
depressing stories. Dark Half, Outer Darkness, a lot of
One-Shot Wong's output. They may be very good, but the last
thing I need right now is to get really depressed.
Anyway, here's what's in the pipeline for reviews:
AMG:
Growing Pains
Being Skulded
The Eternal Wanderer
Tree of Doom
Malice and Denial
UY:
The 'classic' series by Smith & Herriott
Goes to Hell
Dream a Little Dream of Me
The Seduction of Ataru
Dirty Pair:
The Good Life, the High Life, and the After Life
Ranma (take a breath):
Whose Life Is It Anyway? (tonight)
Sometimes It's All Too Much to Bear
Regarding Ranma
Akane Por Siempre
Actor in the Mirror
A Son's Duty
Careful Destiny
Cheisai
Crossover/GuyverRyoga/Timelines
December's End
DnR
the rest of the Elseworlds
Ranma Goes to War/Once More Into the Breach
Stepping Stones
all of Gagne, maybe in one big review
Descents and Inversions
Caroline's series
Anyone think of a favorite I'm leaving out?
Sorry to natter on...
