 Through the Others Eyes.

A Ranma 1/2 Fanfic Story based on the characters created by Rumiko Takahashi
All characters are owned by her etc etc etc

The Story So Far...
Ranma won 10000 Yen after defeating another kid at Furinkan in a
'martial arts of the mind' tournament. When the other's discovered
this,  he agreed (rather reluctantly) to take them out on a group
date.  Unfortunately, Happosai kidnapped Ranma and took him to a
training ground to teach him the anything goes technique Psychic
attack.  Ranma agreed to learn it but unbeknownst to Happosai and
Ranma, Ryouga also decided to learn the technique from the shadows.
Ryouga later confronted Ranma and after a brief battle the two used
the Psychic attack technique on each other.  Now it appears the their
minds have  switched bodies.  Ryouga is now Ranma, and Ranma
is now Ryouga.

Authors Note:
Please note that I am writing this as if you were reading it in a
comic or if you were watching  it on television.  Thus when I refer to
Ryouga ie Ryouga picks up to stone it is actually Ranma picking up the
stone and vise versa.  It may be a bit confusing but keep it in mind.


Chapter 2.

Scene open into the campsite where Ranma and Happosai are arguing with
each other.  Ranma is currently boy type.

Happosai: But you cant leave yet. You have not finished your training.
Ranma: I know enough old man.  Its time for me to return to...  (Ranma
stands up triumphantly lightning crackling behind him) My Fiancee!!!!
Happosai: But you can't you haven't finished your training.  You have
 to attack me only then will...  wait... no... come back!!!
 
Ranma can be seen running off into the woods laughing maniacally.  

Ranma(Thinking): Ohhh Akane at last we can be together.  Nothing can
 stop us from at last being... Husband and wife!

We see an image of Ryouga with a pony tail and without his bandanner
standing with Akane who is in a wedding dress in front of a large love
heart.  They are both laughing at P-Chan who seems to be tied up
 and is looking miserable off to one side.  We come back to reality
and see Ranma with a look of ecstacy on his face.

                  ************************************************

Meanwhile Ryouga is trudging through the forest towards a lake.

Ryouga(thinking): That dumb Ryouga where the hell is he.  For that
matter where the hell am I.  I was sure that mountain was around here
somewhere. (out-loud): Owwww! (thinking again): Thats the third time in
the past hour I have bit my lip.  How does he stand having such large
fangs.  I gotta get my body back before I gnaw through my lower
lip.  How did this happen anyway.  Could it have to do with the
Psychic attack technique.  When I find that old man he's a goner!  Now
if I can only find my way back to the camp. Why do these things always
happen to me, someones stolen my body, Akane's probably still mad at
me, and on top of it all I seem to be completely lost. Jeeze what else
could go wrong today. 

We see a shot of the clouds.  It begins to rain. We then return to
P-Chan sitting in the middle of the forest, looking very unimpressed.

		*********************************************
Ranma is currently running through Tokyo.  She sprints along the road
barrelling everybody out of the way as she goes.  We follow her
movement for about three streets as she runs past the Neko
Hanten. Shampoo once again explodes onto the scene. 

Shampoo: Niahoa Ranma.
Ranma: (stopping) Ranma where ?
Shampoo: Silly Ranma.  You no have to ditch others just to date
 Shampoo. (She embraces Ranma)
Ranma: What the.. Shampoo get off me.. What are you doing?
Shampoo: Now Ranma you take Shampoo on date like you supposed to last
week.
Ranma: What are you talking about? (Pushes Shampoo off her)

People are looking strangely at the two girls.   

Ranma: I'm sorry Shampoo but I must be going. Akane is waiting for me.
Shampoo: But Ranma you promised to take Shampoo on date.
Ranma: I what! (thinking) That darn Ranma! I cant date Shampoo when I
already have Akane.  I can't believe he would two time her like that.  He
has no right to call himself Akane's Fiancee. (Out-loud) I'm sorry
Shampoo but I really must be getting home.  (Pushes past Shampoo)

Shampoo leaps to her feet and starts chasing Ranma.

Shampoo: You no ditch Shampoo.  Now me really really mad.

Shampoo begins to attack Ranma.  She comes in with a flying kick to the back
of her head. Ranma falls to the ground and tumbles over until she
rebounds to her feet.

Ranma(thinking): Oww that really hurt.  A lot more than it should have
(out-loud) I'm sorry Shampoo but I can't let you stop me from getting
home. SHISHI HOUKOU DAN!!!

Ranma's ki energy flies from her body slamming into Shampoo.  Shampoo
looks really surprised by this technique and is taken unawares. The
blast hits her full body and she goes flying back until she hits the
ground.  Ranma simply turns and races down the street.

Ranma: AKANE!!!!!!	
Shampoo (collecting herself up off the ground): Ranma not know that
technique last time we fight.  Where he learn it?

Shampoo limps back to her bike and rides off.  We cut back to Ranma
who has just arrived in front of the Tendo Dojo.
  
Ranma: This is amazing I managed to make it all the way to Akane's
house from the woods without once getting lost.  Truly this must be
love guiding me onwards.  Akane I am home.

Ranma runs into the Dojo.

Kasumi: Oh back from you training trip already Ranma?
Ranma: Yes Kasumi.  I have returned.  You dont happen to have a kettle
do you?
Kasumi: Of course. (passes the kettle to Ranma) Dinner will be on the
table in about half an hour so if... (Ranma ignoring her dumps the
hot water changing back to boy type and runs up the stair towards
Akane's room) Oh my, he must be hungrier than I thought. (Wanders off)

Ranma meanwhile has reached the top of the stairs  and runs up to
Akane's room.  He bursts through the door to see Akane ironing some
clothes.

Akane(looking miffed): Ohh so your back now!
Ranma: Akane I .... er heh heh  ...... hi!

Ranma puts his hand up behind his head just above his pony tail.  He
starts grinning stupidly.  He looks a lot like Ryouga.

Akane: Well what do you want?
Ranma: Akane I was .. heh heh.. kinda... heh... wondering if
.. (pounding of footsteps on stair can be heard in the background)
well... if maybe you... wouldn't mind.... heh heh..
Soun: Akane would be delighted. You are going out tonight!
Genma's sign: < The perfect couple >
Akane: Is that what you here for Ranma.. to ask me out on a date?
Ranma: Well I wouldn't say that exactly.... I mean... well that is to
say... ummm... yes?!?
Akane: WHY? SO YOU CAN DITCH ME AGAIN!!!!

Akane picks up the ironing board and slams Ranma on the side of the
head sending him flying out of the window.  We see him smash through
the glass and go flying through the air in his customary pose until he
lands in the pond. Ranma (girl type resurfaces)

Ranma: Waaaa cold! whew at least I didn't turn into P-Chan. OOF!?!

Akane's iron slams into Ranma's face.  It falls into the water sending
steam from the place where it hit the water and leaving a red iron
shaped mark on Ranma's face.  

Ranma: This could be tougher than I thought.
		*****************************************
The scene opens inside the Neko Hanten.  Shampoo and her great
grandmother are discussing the days events.

Cologne: You say that he used the Shishi Houkou Dan technique on you?
Shampoo: Yes Great Grandmother.
Cologne: Hmmmm, unusual I have tested Ranma extensively in an effort
to groom him into a worthy husband for you.  In all that time he has
never revealed that he knew that particular technique.  
Shampoo: He say he went on training journey.  Could he learn there?
Cologne: I dont think so child.  He hasn't had enough time to perfect
that technique.  We have a mystery here child.  One which you and I
should solve.  
Shampoo: How Great Grandmother?
Cologne: I must visit the Tendo Training Hall and examine Ranma for
myself.  Only then will we have the clues to this mystery.  Bring
along Mousse. No doubt he will be of use in solving this problem....
  
		***************************************** 
P-Chan wandered through the woods aimlessly.  He still has a very
unimpressed look on his face and he looks like he is just about ready
to commit murder.  A squeal of delight comes from behind a bush and
P-Chan stops and turns to see a young girl about 8 years old rush
over and pick him up.

Girl: Oh my what a cute little pig.  Where's your owner Mr Piggy?
P-Chan: Whee
Girl: Oh your so adorable I think I'll take you home with me.  What do
you think about that Mr Piggy?

She walks through the bushes again and enters the grounds of a very
large estate.  P-Chan can be seen struggling desperately but the girl
has a very tight grip on him.  She runs up to a small shed and then
enters through the door.

Girl:  O.K Mr Piggy this is your new home now.  These are your
friends..

She indicates to a dog and a duck sitting in a cage together.

Girl: This is Mr Puppy and Mr Ducky.  Over Hear is Mr Fishy, this is
Mr Ratty with Mr Mousey.  This cage will be yours you can share it
with Mr Kitty.

P-Chans eyes go really wide as he is dropped into the cage with the
large tabby cat.  Sweat beads off his face as he desperately backs
away from the cat into the corner of the cage.  The cat looks at the
pig curiously.  More sweat can be seen flowing from P-chans face.  We
see the girl sitting over the cage smiling at the two small animals.
Suddenly the cage erupts into a small cloud of smoke as the two
animals do mortal combat.  The girl screams as she falls back from her
chair and then the side to the cage explodes outwards and a small pig
flying at incredible speed shoots around the shed rebounding off of
the walls, roof and floor.  

P-Chan: Wheeeeeeeorrwwwww

P-Chan slams through the wall of the shed leaving a small hole.  The
girl somewhat startled looks out the hole into the Estates grounds.  A
rather dishevelled cat with a black eye pokes its head out of the
cage...

Cat: Meow?
		**************************************
Ranma and Genma panda are training in the Tendo's yard.  Both are
throwing punches and blocking, and dodging the others attacks at
incredible speeds.

Ranma (thinking): This is amazing. I could never move this fast in my
own body, this extra speed that Ranma possesses is incredible.

The giant panda manages to get a punch into Ranma's belly.  He follows
up quickly with an up handed slam with one of his wooden signs.  Ranma
falls back to the ground and Genma holds up the sign.  

Genma Panda: <Whats wrong with you today boy?> 

The Panda spins the sign rapidly.

Genma Panda:<Your fighting style has completely changed.>

Inside the Dojo sitting around the table meanwhile are Akane, Nabiki,
Soun, Shampoo, Mousse, and Cologne.  They seem to be arguing about
something.

Cologne: I tell you that Ranma attacked Shampoo without provocation.
Soun: I'm sorry but I find that hard to believe.
Cologne:  Are you implying that I am lying.  Does the Tendo Dojo wish
to declare war against the Neko Hanten? We expect a full apology from
Ranma.
Kasumi: Dinners Ready!

Outside Genma belts Ranma to one side with his sign and hurries into
the dining room. Ranma soon joins him and they both stop at the door
when it is clear that everyone is looking at them. Mousse springs to
his feet and grabs the Panda by his fur.

Mousse: Ranma you fiend! How dare you attack Shampoo!

The Panda Slams Mousse across the head with his sign and then holds it
up.

Panda:<Whats going on here?>
Ranma: Beat it Duck boy!

Ranma punches Mousse in the mouth sending him flying out of the dojo's
yard. 

Soun: Ranma did you attack Shampoo?
Ranma: What? No she attacked me first, I was merely defending myself.
Cologne: Ahhh now it is clear.
Everyone: Huh?
Cologne:  Hmmm, come Shampoo the matter is settled. We have the answers
we seek.
Shampoo: Great Grandmother, what you talking?
Cologne: I will explain later.  A word of advice to you my pupil
(talking to Ranma) be warned for he will return to reclaim that which
you have stolen from him.

Everyone looks very puzzled and question marks appear above everyones
heads.  Only Ranma seems to understand what she is talking about.
Shampoo and Cologne both leave the Dojo.  

Nabiki: Well that was a little strange.
Soun: Ranma what was she talking about?

Ranma just stands there quietly watching after them.  Meanwhile
Shampoo and Cologne are walking down the road.

Shampoo: Great Grandmother?
Cologne: Hmmm Grand Daughter it seems that someone has stolen your
future husbands body.
Shampoo: What?
Cologne: I am not sure how it was done, but the ki energy that
surrounds Ranma's body does not belong to Ranma.  Until I find out how
it was done I cannot determine how to counter the effects.  
Shampoo: What we do?
Cologne: Nothing.  We must wait until the real Ranma returns, when he
does he will seek us out.  Then when the answer is clear we will
return him to his body.  Then he will be in debted to us and we will
force him to marry you.
Shampoo: Ahhhhhh!

	*******************************************************
Ryouga is walking down a street of some kind.  He is inside a city of
some sort, however the city seems to be underground or at the very
least enclosed in some sort of chamber.  The City is enclosed in a
huge container in which the walls are made to steel and a roof of
steel towers above the city.  The size of the chamber is devastating.
A holographic image of some kind is being projected onto parts of the
roof.  The image seems to be trying to imitate the sky with clouds and
a sun.  All in all it seems to be a strange city.

Ryouga: This is just great, where the hell am I.  Last thing I
remember was being placed into that cage with the cat in it.  (Ryouga
shudders when he says cat) Next thing here I am in this place,
wherever this place is.

Ryouga approaches a man standing by the side of the road.

Ryouga: Yo buddy  do you know how I can get to the Nerima district in
 Tokyo?
Man: Whoa are you lost buddy, Your not even in Japan.
Ryouga: What, where the hell am I then?
Man: Your in Macr...

Suddenly a siren interrupts their conversation and a loud
authoritative female voice announces.

Woman Announcer: Attention everyone please! Attention, the enemy have
infiltrated the base. I repeat the enemy have infiltrated the
base. Take cover at once.
Ryouga: Enemy what enemy?
Woman Announcer: Take cover at once.
Man: The Aliens you idiot. 
Ryouga: Aliens what aliens?

Ryouga's question is answered by a loud crash at he other end of
town. A giant green Robot nearly 100 feet tall crashes through the
roof right in front of a hospital.  The Robot is huge and seems to be
of humanoid shape.  Its shoulders are bulky and its head seems to be
embedded in its neck.  Its arms on the other hand are fragile with its
hands only having three fingers. Its legs on the other hand are bulky
and thick.  It pauses in front of the Hospital for a few seconds
before shooting off down the street destroying cars, and buildings in
its wake.  
	A second robot appears behind the first.  This robot is blue
though and is definitely human shaped.  Whilst smaller than the former
it seems thinner and more agile. In its arm it carried a huge laser
rifle of some kind.  Ryouga and the man watched as the blue robot shot
down another street after the green.  In an amazing display of
aeronautical brilliance the two began to dogfight.  A majority of the
blues shots actually hit the green robot and not the surrounding
buildings. The green sat up shocked that its opponent had decided to
do combat and then returned fire.  The blue dodged out of the way as
the metal that covers the city began to slide apart leaving an escape
route for the green. It shoots up into the sky firing several missles at
the blue, who in mid-flight mechamorphisised into a small fighter
plane.  The blue fighter shoots up in pursuit of the green robot.  
	Ryouga and the other man watched them depart.  The other man
seems stunned by the event whilst Ryouga seems unimpressed.

Ryouga: Pfft Amateurs.

Ryouga continues walking off down the street as the man stares after
him.

		*****************************************
Ranma is walking down a street that seems similar to the one Ryouga
was walking down.  It is obvious though that Ranma is still in Tokyo
though.  He seems deep in thought as he is walking.

Ranma(thinking): This is great.  No matter where I go I dont seem to
get lost anymore.  I cant help thinking about what the old woman said
to me though.  I mean I love Akane but attacking Shampoo like that was
not the actions of an honourable martial artist.  Even if she was in
the way.  Also I'm living this charade in which I'm pretending to be
Ranma.  Everyone keeps treating me like that but I'm sure that Mr
Soatome has begun to notice something and he's sure to talk sooner or
later. 
		**************************************

The scene cuts to the Tendo Dojo where Soun and Genma are at the
table.  Genma is pigging into vast quantities of rice.

Soun: Dont you think Ranma has been acting a little strange?
Genma: (chew chew, gulp) Nope! (chew chew)

		****************************************
Ranma(thinking): I need someone I can talk to someone I can trust.

Ranma is standing outside Ucchans.

Ranma(thinking): Of course Ukyou.  She has helped me in the past.  I'll
talk to her.

Ranma runs into the restaurant.  Ukyou seems to be cleaning a table
with a small cloth.  There is no sign of any customers or of Konatsu or
Tsubasa. 

Ranma: Ukyou! Ukyou oh your here, thats great I need to talk to you.
Ukyou: Ranchan? Oh are you here to apologise for ditching me last
Friday.
Ranma: What?
Ukyou: Ohhh thats so sweet of you.  Come in sit down, I'll make you
some lunch.
Ranma: Uhhh O.K.
Ukyou(Under her breath): YES!!
Ranma: Uhhh Ukyou, I've been thinking.
Ukyou: What about?
Ranma: Well I wanted to ask someone out, and I'm a little nervous
about it.
Ukyou(smiling): You mean it?  But why are you nervous you have never
been that way before?
Ranma: Yeah well I really really like this person.
Ukyou(smiles getting bigger): Oh Well if you wanted to ask this girl
out.  I think you should just come right out and say it.
Ranma: What say it just like that.
Ukyou: Well... uh... yeah.
Ranma: Thanks Ukyou (gets up and leaves) 

Ukyou Stares after him in disbelief. 

Ukyou: But... I thought... AAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH

Ranma is walking down the street seeming quite happy with himself.  

Ranma(thinking): Ukyou is such a good friend.  Well I just gotta come
right out and say it.  Yeah thats the trick. As soon as I get back
I'll walk up to Akane and tell her how I feel.  After that though I
better make sure Ranma doesn't get his body back though otherwise I'll
lose Akane forever.

Ranma has arrived just outside the Training hall. With a look of
determination on his face he opens the door and with a single minded
purpose he walks through into the kitchen.  When he sees Akane is not
there he turns to Kasumi.

Ranma: Kasumi where's Akane.
Kasumi: Akane ohh I believe she's in her room. (Ranma turns and runs
for the stairs) Oh my but I dont think it would be (we hear Akane
scream)

Ranma is standing by Akane's door and Akane is inside completely
naked. Blood is flowing from Ranma's nose.

Ranma: A- A- A- A-Akane?!?!
Akane: YOU PERVERT 

Punctuates this last word by punching Ranma out through her window.
>From outside the dojo, Ranma once again comes crashing through the
upstairs window and flies into the pond.  There is a large splash and
when it clears Ranma-chan is lying in the water.

Ranma: Oh well at least she can't throw the iron at me again.

A look of panic crosses Ranma's face as a second later a large
refrigerator hits Ranma full in the face.
		********************************************
Meanwhile in a distant galaxy. Two titans had just concluded a battle
that could very well influence the fate of an entire galaxy.  The
first of the combatants was a tall figure who looked more machine than
man.  This figure was robed in a black cape and he looked more like a
robot than a human.  His breathing was laboured and every single piece
of his uniform was black. It is clear that this dark warrior is the
victor of this battle.  In his right hand he holds what looks like a
red laser sword of some kind.
	His opponent stood clutched desperately to a piece of
machinery at the end of a catwalk.  Below him is a drop that will
surely cause his death. 
His face is badly bruised, but his most notable injury is his missing
right hand.  He is a young man and has sandy coloured hair.  He stands
their screaming. Not so much from his injuries, more to do with the
truths that his opponent had just revealed to him. 

Dark Warrior: Search you feelings Luke you know it to be true!
Sandy Haired man: No that's impossible.
Dark Warrior: You have the power to destroy the emperor he has
foreseen it. Join me Luke and we can rule the galaxy as father and son.

The Sandy haired man looked at the dark warrior and then looked down
below.  Finally after coming to a decision he lets go of the catwalk
and falls down and down and down.  Until a gust of wind picks him up
and carries him into an air duct.
  The Dark warrior looks down after the young man and then turns and
strides back down the catwalk.  When he is about halfway to the door a
young voice cries out to him stopping him in his tracks.

Ryouga: Yo Bucket head. Yeah you, hey I'm talking to you blacky.  Yeah
respirator face I'm up here.

The black warrior looks up at the young Japanese man standing on the
rail on the catwalk above him.

Ryouga: Yeah listen I'm trying to find my way to the Nerima district
in Tokyo Japan.  I was wondering if you could give me directions.

The black warrior looks up at the young man. Then back at his light
sabre, then back to the man.

Black Warrior: No!
Ryouga: Yeah well thanks for nothing.
Black Warrior: Dumb kid!

He walks off.

		*********************************************
Ranma is once again walking down the roads.  He is now carrying a
backpack though.  

Ranma(thinking): Stealing Ranma's body and impersonating him is not
the actions of an honourable martial artist.  I have lied to Akane and
am unfit to call myself her fiancee.  Thats why I'm going off on a
long journey to clear my mind and purify my soul.  Then when I return
I will once again be fit to date with you Akane.

Ranma looks up and he is once again outside the Tendo training hall. 

Ranma(thinking): Whoa usually after going once round the block I could
go on one of my long journeys. Somehow I think my journeys were
always a bit longer when I was in my real body.  (sigh) 

Ranma walks back into the Dojo. Fade to black.
