The "chestnuts roasting on an open fire" technique?
I'd guess it's just Ranma's usual strength and power. Kashuu Tenshin
Amaguriken improves speed, not strength.

True, but in order to improve speed, Ranma has to put a lot more energy into
his punches. (KE = 1/2mv^2) In some accounts, the rate of punches is over 500
pps (punches per second). This means that he's delivering a quarter-million
times more energy with a single punch (125 million times for the full 500
punches).
To deliver this much energy in a single punch, Ranma would have to have REALLY
strong muscles, because he would not only have to crank out a quarter-million
times more energy than one of his weak punches, but also he would have to do it
500 times faster, because his punch spends less time speeding up.
Thus, even a single Amaguriken punch would REALLY HURT!!!!! The Technique made
him stronger as well as faster. This means Ranma can put a LOT of power behind
his punches!
So there! :)
