I was just wondering, about something that keeps popping up in 
Ranma.  Why, before they go to take a shower or bath, do they keep 
dumping a bucket of cold water on themselves?  I mean, when I clean, I 
just step into a hot shower... why freeze first?

I had a friend that spent serveral months in Japan as an exchange 
student. The water in the baths is *hot*. She said that the only way that 
it's bearable is if you buffer yourself first by dumping cold water on 
yourself. Nothing spiritual...just common sense, I guess. ^.^
