Okay, I'm working on rewriting "Appearances" before I put it on the web
page. Thanks to everyone for their helpful comments.
What most people seemed to think wasn't so good was the very ending.
Heck, let's be honest; everyone thought it sucked. So, okay, I liked it
so much I named the story after it. Doesn't mean I ain't open to
renaming the fic.
So, here's the deal. Do any of you folk have a better way to end the
story? I don't mean change the outcome - no last minute rescue by
Akane, no sudden burst of chi that gets the killer in the end. But a
different way of bringing the 'fic to the appropriate, depressing
ending.
I'd say keep the story the same up until the killer stares dreamily off
into space. Then you're free to do as you will.
Anyone who can come up with a better ending than mine will get
co-writing credit, as well as 20% of all the money I earn from that
story. ^_^ Oh, and my undying respect.
I'd like to see what you can come up with.
