   The version at the archive *is* the final version.  About the scene at the
beginning, you'll understand a lot better if you read the fanfic completely. 
It's a scene that occurs a few years after the end of the fanfic.

   The girl in question is Ranko, Ranma's sister.  How she came to be is
explained in the fanfic and she's not trying to resurrect her brother but a
friend  who dies at theend of the fanfic.

   As for the conclusion to that scene, it's in The Caller's Plight, the squel
that Terbril will be realeasing shortly.  I had the honor of being a
pre-reader for that 2+MB monster (yes, more than two megabytes) since it was
in its early stages.  According to what I have, it should be finished soon.
