Unknown.  Estimates usually range from Akane's age 6 to 10.

For my own 'fics, although it usually doesn't play a part, I assume Akane 
at 8, Nabiki at 9, and Kasumi at 11 at the time of Mother Tendo's death.

Dunno.  Dead, I think.  If you want to write a 'fic with her coming back, 
I see no objections.
 

        3. What's the name of Kuno's servant? Is he/she in the manga or is
he/she an anime only thing?

Sasuke is only in the anime, originally intended as a more comical 
replacement of Gosunkugi's role in the "Cat Fist" storyline.

As for the prelude to part 2, it shows some promise.  While Akane was 
perhaps a bit harsh (then again, what happened to her will do that), it 
did allow for added effect to the "You just got your wish" at the end.
I've already explained my OOC flags for part one.  Ignoring part 1 and 
going on, the 'fic looks like it's going in a decent direction.
