I just picked up a copy of John Carpenter's "Big Trouble in Little China"
and it occured to me that this would make a good Ranma fic. I mean It
has Martial arts bad guys, magic, and kipnapping of brides! What else is
there? Oh, yeah, cool monster.

Have you ever seen Ranma Movie #1? Big trouble in Nekonron China?
Sorry. it's already been done :)
Ha! Yeah, Right!
The title was just some cliche made up by the translators. That movie
was actually based on a legend about gang of real theives who dressed up
as the Seven Lucky gods to trick people into giving them their loot.
There was NO ancient Chinese demon, Chinese mobster, or underground
fortresses!
Despite the fact that the name was made up by the translators, it is
quite fitting :)
Akane, 'the bride' was kidnapped, there was a bunch of magic,
martial arts, Ranma going to the rescue with the whole gang, etc.
Then you have all those Chinese martial artists and Ranma cast
indirectly poking fun at Koreans at the mention of pickled vegatables.
etc. etc.
Woah... where and how did they make fun of Koreans?
But the story described above by the first poster is clearly there.
