I was just watching The Prisoner a little while ago on Bravo -
great show, havn't seen it very often. But I was wondering... would it
be possible to cross something like that over with Ranma?
(Of course, I'm not exactly sure what's going on in The Prisoner
- though they seem to be messing with #6's mind.)
Reminds me of an idea I once had: someone (or someones) screw
with Ranma's mind, trying to convince him that he is, indeed, really
female. Don't know why, some nefarious plot to take over the world or
marry Akane or something
 Just an idea...

Talk about TV trivia, that series came out in the
late 60's. If I remember correctly, #6's main antagonist is
a character named #2. In each episode, #2 would present the
'prisoner' with a unique challenge to #6's sanity, and try
to make #6 'confess' to why he quit? the British secret
service.

In addition, the 'prisoner' was able in one way or
another, thwart or at least check the plan's of #2, thus we
see a new #2 every 1 or 2 episodes.

To cross this story into the Ranmaverse would
present some rather interesting problems and stories. A
menacing #2 could be represented by one of Ranma's many
rivals (Kuno, Happosai, Mousse, Ryoga). A manipulative #2
could be played by Nibiki, or the father's (Genma / Souun).
A real challenge would be to have #2 played by Kasumi, a
person outwardly gentle and kind, yet full of not so
benevolent tricks & secrets.

The core of such a story would center on a secret or
action the antagonists trying to illicit from Ranma.

        Just a few rambling thoughts.............
