Hi...
 I was wondering if I could pick all of your brains on this little
subject....
 CBC's Undercurrents is hounding my Japanese Pop Culture course and wants
to know about "otaku" outside japan..... what it means and how it it
vieved...
 I've got the "official" definition on all this and how the term has some
perjoritive conotations...but I want other peoples opinions...what it
means to them....

  What does the term otaku mean to you?
  is it positive or negative and do you consider yourself one?
  Also I guess I'dd better get a sense of geographical positioning for all
this..so location, within a couple of hundered miles of where you are
would be nice as well....I'm interested in a global (or at least as global
as I can get) opinion.....
