You know, for going overboard like that I probably deserved all I got.
God, do _I_ feel a fool...
Leaving out the biblical metaphors all I was saying was that it is not
obvious that Ukyo _would_ indeed do the right thing in the end; it is as
easy or easier to argue that she would do the wrong thing (rub Akane's
nose in it), an action she would only regret when it was too late, when
it was done and Ranma's anger (an unhappy state of affairs for her) was
already incurred. It is well to always remember that Ukyo is no angel and
is perfectly capable of poor judgment and much malice. She cannot be trusted
to do the right in the end, for no man can be, and Ukyo is human like
everyone else.
You might say that WebDragon's original solution was how we might hope
the story ends, and what I wrote how I feared it might actually end, best
and worst case scenarios, if you please. How such a situation would
actually end only the artist knows, if even she, for she never saw fit to
draw it. All I know is that both are conceivable, for both were written.
A word to fanfic writers; never read the books of Job and Lamentations
before writing if you plan to write anything cheerful. :)
