Plus, while Ranma might be supporting (assuming that Akane IS what
you're portraying her as, which she isn't), he wouldn't go suggesting
that Akane sleep on his lap.

Apart from these massive errors, it's a nice little story. But the fact
is, that Akane is NOT what you seem to think she is. Give the girl
credit, I mean, Akane's not gonna let the absense of light, and the
occasional lightning strike and thunder, frighten her. She's made of
tougher stuff than that, mate. I feel that that's one of her best
qualities.....

I hate to say this but you have been reading too many fanfics.  Almost
anyone likes to be protected, yes even Akane.  Most of all, all of us
want to feel independent but we can't always be like that.  We have to
lean on somebody for support.  For Akane it is Ranma.
