Okay...
Zen has been quiet long enough. But this is starting to get ridiculous.
Zen is NOT defending Trish Ledoux. Zen has never met her - doesn't know
her from Adam. (Warren, or any other Adam, for that matter) She may be a
saint - she may be Damien's twin sister. Zen does not much care.
Zen is NOT Attacking Trish either - for precisely those same reasons.
Zen's direct experience with the woman, or the things that she has done, is
extremely limited. Zen *does* know people that have cause to be angry with
her, but they are not on the ML.
Now what Zen wants to know, is what is served by slinging all of these
accusations and innuendo around? Zen is confused - the behaviour patterns
that have been described here (ASSUMING that they are even accurate) are
those of a lonely, neurotic individual. Does anyone here actually think
that such vilification will help change those behaviours?
Zen agrees that people should know about behaviours that might cause
problems... but in such matters, a "he said she said" approach is very
dangerous. More than that, it is unfair, and unkind. Do any of you have
*proof* of any of these stories? Do any of you know someone who WAS there,
and would be willing to back up these stories? Someone who can honestly
say that they saw any of this happen, and would sign such a statement?
Maybe Zen is missing something vital... but it seems fundamentally wrong.
Zen just does not understand the hatred here - even Macek gets a lighter
treatment - just what is it that is supposed to make her so evil? Zen has
heard all of these stories - and has no objective proof of any of them. He
has heard WORSE stories about others - who seem to get off scott free.
What is the difference?
What is it that can make a person like Kun-chan - who has made no secret of
her ideology regarding "Violent Murkins and their Gun Fixations" say over
and over again that Trish Ledoux should be shot? "Yay! Kill her!" has
often been a refrain form Oz... Why? What in the name of the Goddess can
she *possibly* have done to inspire such hatred?
Does it make people feel that much better to have someone to hate? All of
you are fans, ne? Surely you know what it is like to be treated badly
because you are different - because your interests are not mainstream. Of
all the groups on the planet, it seems to Zen that this one - the fans -
You, Zen, everybody - should be aware of how important it is to be
tolerant.
Of course there are disagreements - you cannot like everybody - and there
are times when a person hurts you to the point where hatred and anger are
more than appropriate - but to so hate a person that you have never met?
Zen just does not understand.
Zen knows that this rant is flame bait. It is not the intent, but Zen
feels strongly about this - and very much wants to know.
Zen also apologizes to Richard-san for teasing him about waving lightning
rods... ^_^ Looks like Zen is not so far over his case of Quixote Syndrome
as he once thought.
Please remember as you all charge your phasers... Zen is not defending
Trish, nor is he attacking anyone else - For all Zen knows, Trish killed
Kun-chan's pet pig, that is, Kun-chan may have very good reasons for her
feelings. But that is the point. Zen does not *know*.
<<rant limiter overload>>
Thank you all for your time.
