Ok, a fic that looks like something for Elseworlds. Not to worry, this
will probably be as long as my current fic, if not more.....
I would appreciate comments...like, is this a good story to continue. At
least Francis Gilbert thought so. Ok, so I admit, I'm doing another
OOC... I like OOC.... Me like OOC, OOC is kewl

This story attempts to show what would happen if Ranma and Genma never
visited Jusenkyo springs, and instead of leaving Nodoka for ten years, they
have gone on little training trips.
Warning for those are reading my other work in progress. This is another
Nabiki/Ranma story... Hehehehehehehe. Expect a little OOC.
By the way, here is my acknowledgement to the author of Takes of Nabiki and
Ranma...... My story borrows the idea of Nabiki-Ranma, with Akane as one
of his crazed suitors.
Chapter 1 - Here's Ranma
"Come up people, the martial arts championship between Furinken High
and St. Lawrence Boys Academy is about to begin! On the right, are Japan's
champions led by Kuno Tatewaki, the Furinken High Kendo Team! On the left,
demonstrating a surprising jump from last place last year, led by Hibiki
Ryoga, the St. Lawrence Boys Academy!" Kuno Tatewaki stood still, his
wooden sword in his hand, basking in the cheers from the audience, who
expected an easy win for Furinken High. `Ah, tis the joy of eventual
victory from a battle. And when I will, Akane will finally realize how
manly I am, and will not be able to resist my charms.....' Suddenly, Kuno
laughed maniacally, evoking stares from the audience, the opposing team,
and even his own teammates.
Ryoga was standing in front of his team, trying to give them a pep
talk. "Come on, this is the best this team has even done, let's win... By
then way..." Ryoga scanned the members of his team, silently filling out a
mental checklist. "Where is Ranma?"
* * *
"Now Ranma, you need a good breakfast... Now eat up..." Nodoka stood
in front of a stove, cheerfully preparing a five-star banquet for Ranma.
Ranma, who was staring at his watch and playing with his tail of hair
nervously, ate rapidly. Next to him, Genma was also rapidly shoveling food
into his mouth.
"Yum...hmmm...umphhh...." Genma for some reason felt especially
hungry today, and he suddenly realized Ranma's kendo match. "Boy! You
have a match! Hurry, be off!" Genma shouted, bits of rice falling out of
his mouth. With an agility not normally associated with his body, Genma
leaped of his knees, picked up Ranma, and threw him out the door. Ranma
cried out in amazement as he flew backwards and landed in the bird bath in
the yard.
Examining his wet clothes, Ranma shook a fist as his father. "Why
you dumb idiot! Why did you have to make my clothes wet!" Genma paid no
attention, since he already was intently focused and concentrated on one
very important task, quelling his hunger. Ranma sighed, and ran off
quickly. `Damn! I'm going to be late, Ryoga is not going to be happy....'
With that thought in mind, Ranma leaped up to the fence and doubled his
speed.
* * *
Ryoga groaned in anger, and screamed "Where's Ranma!" He ripped up
his chair, and using his brute strength crushed it. He ran up to a
teammate and lifted him up. "Where's Ranma!" Ryoga screamed into the
whimpering face. "I'll kill that tardy bastard! He was supposed to be
here!" Clenching his fists, and gritting his teeth, Ryoga prepared himself
for the match, which was going to start soon.
* * *
Ranma saw in the distance, Furinken High School, the location of the
match. A bit careless, Ranma leaped off the fence, and ran into two girls,
one with long hair, the other with short hair, bowling both of them over.
Surprisingly, neither of them screamed, instead Ranma saw, a fist launched
at him. Easily he dodged the punch.
"Hey! Cool it! I'm sorry!" With every sentence, he dodged the
attacks of a very violent girl definited determined to break every bone in
his body. Ranma glanced down at his watch, and still managed to parry the
girl's blows without benefit of sight. "Shit! I'm late!"
With that said, Ranma bowed deeply, allowing a high kick to fly past
his head. "Sorry, I gotta go!" Suddenly, Ranma leaped up, and pivoted on
the girl's head with his finger. Both girls were shocked, and the girl
with long hair turned her head around ready to lash out with her leg. But
the boy had disappeared.
The long haired girl shouted in frustration. "That dumb dumb Boy!
If I ever meet him again, I'll ... I'll beat the stuffing out of him!" The
other girl was leaning against the fence, her cool demeanor not surprised
at all at her little sister's emotional outburst.
"Come on Akane, I have money to make! Do you want us to miss the
match completely?" Akane, the girl with long hair, stared back at her
older sister. "Sure Nabiki, whatever! But if I see that boy again, I'll
pound him!" And to punctuate her point, she buried her right fist into her
left hand. `I've never been beaten by a boy before!.... He is kind of
cute...'
* * *
Ryoga watched helplessly as he watched a fellow team member be reduced
into a heap of sores, bruises, and quivering flesh. Cringing silently
almost feeling the agony of his comrade, Ryoga was about to start off
another tirade about Ranma when his friend showed up.
"Hey! Ryoga!" Ryoga bursted into tears of joy, and hugged Ranma.
"Thank god Thank God Thank God Thank you God! Our team's been reduced to
shambles..." Ryoga's hand pointed to the battered remains of the St.
Lawrence team. Ranma paid no attention to the team. "Ummm, Ryoga! I know
that we're friends, and such, but isn't this a bit too close?" Ryoga
stopped, realizing his position....
"Oh yeah!" He laughed, and released Ranma. Rubbing his sore ribs,
Ranma cracked his knuckles. `Look out Furinken High.' Ranma looked at
Kuno Tatwaki gloating in his victories in the ring. Grinning, Ranma walked
into the dueling ring, unarmed and without armor. A gasp passed through
the audience. Way in the back, Nabiki and Akane just entered, and fought
their way down to the front. Moments later, they broke through the tight
crowd, and appeared right next to the ring.
Nabiki smiled a bit. "Hey, Akane, is that the boy you wanted to
beat?" Akane's jaw dropped, when she saw him stand without equipment
against ol' Blue Thunder. `My god... he doesn't stand a chance...'
The announcer screamed into his microphone. "What's this! The St.
Lawrence Challenger unequipped! Furinken High's victory is almost certain
now!" All of those rooting for Furinken High, cheered. Kuno Tatewaki
waved to his crowd. Seeing Akane, he took off his helmet and kneeled
before her.
"Oh, my goddess Akane! Prithee, give me a good luck kiss..."
Closing his eyes, he slowly bend forward, only to be stopped by a girls
shoe, imbedded into his face. Kuno fell backward ontop his rear, mumbling.
"What a kiss! I feel so dizzy..." Somehow, Kuno never noticed the
kick to his head, donned his mask, and at the sound of a bell, charged
Ranma, who was bored and was tapping his feet against the floor of the
ring.
"Impudent fool, I shall kill you!" He swung his bokken wildly at
Ranma, who became a blur, and disappeared. Kuno carefully scanned around,
sword over his shoulder, frustrated at his opponent's disappearance. He
shouted.
"Where is the coward! Where is the coward!" Kuno looked at the
audience, which was for some reason laughin uncontrolably. `Damn thee,
fool I shall have to destroy you for tainting my honor!' He felt a tap on
his shoulder. Surprised, Kuno's head swung around, to see Ranma standing
on his sword.
Ranma saluted to Kuno. "It's been fun....." Ranma right foot swung
back and forth, Kuno landed on the ground unconscious, Ranma on his feet,
barely breathing hard. The entire audience became silent. Whispers could
be heard. "What! St. Lawrence won? Kuno Tatewaki beatened? That's not
possible..."
Kuno shook his head, and crawled to the judge's table, and whispered
to the judges. The judges nodded, and the announcer screamed into the
microphone. "Audience, you are in for a treat! The final round is a free
for all!" As soon as he shouted that, the entire Furinken Kendo Team
screamed, and charged Ranma.
Ryoga surprised at the dishonorable actions of the Furinken team,
grabbed his umbrella and leaped into the ring to fight along side Ranma.
He screamed, "Ranma! Let's kick their ass!" Both friends became a furious
storm of attacks. Their feets, hands, and sometimes an umbrella lashed
out, usually knocking an opponent senseless. In minutes, the entire
Furinken team was on the ground.
Ranma smiled at Ryoga. "I believe I clobbered 11 of them, how about
you?" Ryoga laughed. "Only 10, it seems you have beaten me again." Both
did not notice Kuno, who loomed up behind them.
"Die! Createns! Die!" Without a thought, Ranma flipped around,
landing on his left hand, as his leg became a blur and rapidly kicked Kuno
silly. Kuno slumped to the ground, his face and body covered with Ranma's
footprints.
A scream pierced the low roar of the audience, and a pretty, but
queer looking girl leaped onto the stage, her ribbon trailing behind her.
"Brother, dear brother are you hurt?" She shook Kuno's limp arms, but the
only response that Tatewaki returned was a muffled groan.
She stood up, and pointed at Ranma. "How could you? I Kuno Kodachi
shall avenge my brother!" She lashed out with her ribbon, and
surprisingly, Ranma caught it. Angered, Kodachi grabbed a razor-edged
hoop, and flung it at Ranma. Ranma easily dodged the hoop, and kicked it
hard, sending it straight up, where it richoceted against the metal rafters
in the roof, and after a moment, it came whizzing back down at Kodachi.
Ranma gasped, and he leaped onto Kodachi, bringing her out of the path of
the hoop, which zoomed down and buried itself 1 foot into the ground where
Kodachi had been standin moments ago.
Kodachi finally realized what Ranma had done, and her emotions
completely reversed. "Oh my, such a strong man saving me...." She laughed
and forced her lips onto Ranma, who struggled. "Hey! Get this crazy woman
off of me! Ryoga help me!" Kodachi on the other hand was enjoying the
experience. Ryoga laughed, "Sure, Ranma. I'd think that you'd enjoy
having a luscious woman plastered on you..."
`What a man! His name's Ranma!...' Before she could continue with
her thoughts, she found herself roughly lifted off her target of affection,
and unceremoniously deposited on her brother. Angry, she stood up only to
find the entire ring empty.
Back in the audience, a dejected Nabiki left, with an excited Akane.
Akane laughed to Nabiki. "That was such a perfect picture. You should
have seen the look on Kuno's face when he realized that the boy was
standing on the bokken!" Nabiki grumbled. "That boy happened to cost me
10000 yen in losses, I'll be home later." Nabiki stalked off to a small
crowd of students who were smiling expectantly. Akane shrugged her
shoulders, and ran off, thinking about the boy who clobbered Kuno. A
minute or two later, while she saw the same boy leave a yard, leap onto a
fence, and run off really fast.
* * *
"Thanks Ranma for helping me get home. Man today was such a great
fight. See you in school tomorrow." Ryoga waved as he walking into the
front door of his house. "Damn, I don't remember a door being here...."
He laughed again, and enter the house. Ranma sighed, and ran out of the
yard and leaped onto the fence.
* * *
Akane followed the boy to his house. Instead of using the gate, Akane
was surprised when he completely cleared the fence. Looking in through a
crack in the fence, she saw a man, close to her father's age yell at the
boy.
"Ranma! Defend yourself." Akane paused `So his name is Ranma...'
Ranma laughed back.
"Old man! Anytime, any day." He charged, and both combatants met
in midair. Akane gasped as she saw forms and techniques rapidly employed
in front of her eyes. She heard a nice woman call out, and her eyes landed
on a woman who looked like a mother.
"Ranma, dear. Genma, dear. Please stop fighting...." Both men did
not listen, too concentrated in battling each other. Nodoka's pretty face
grimiced slight, and she deeply inhaled.
"RANMA, dear! Genma, DEAR!" Both Genma and Ranma surprised, their
concentration shattered, landed into a small pond. Both emerged sopping
wet. Akane could barely stife her laughter, and she ran off.
* * *
"Yo mom! What's so important?" Ranma asked, while kneeling in front
of the table. Nodoka smiled, and nudged Genma, who cleared his throat.
"Well, Ranma since you've come of age, and demonstrated a pretty good
mastery of Anything Goes. I think it's time I followed through on an oath
I made twenty years ago...." Ranma impatiently drummed his fingers on
table. Genma was befuddled, not knowing how to break the news to his son.
He decided to completely skirt the issue. "We're going to a dinner party."
Genma smiled, while Nodoka's smile faded a bit. Ranma managed to
facefault into the table.
"You made a promise 20 years ago to hold a dinner party?" Genma
coughed... "Well, not exactly." Nodoka smiled, "No need to fret. We're
going in a few minutes." and her cool hand landed on Ranma's shoulder. "So
you should shower up, and dress up nicely..."
* * *
Akane reached her home, the Tendo Dojo. As she openned the front
gate, she walked into her father, Soun Tendo who was laughing quite
weirdly.
"Father! Are you alright?" Soun looked at Akane, and hugged her.
"I could not be better! This is the day that the future of the Anything
Goes School is certain. The day that my best friend and I become
brothers!" He laughed as he entered the dojo, leaving Akane wondering.
Akane walked up to Nabiki, who was sitting on the porch reading a book.
"Nabiki, what's with father?" Nabiki shrugged. "I guess that some
family called Saotome are coming for dinner or something. Seems that Dad
hasn't met his friend for many years."
Almost immediately after they finished their conversation, a knock
could be heard at the door. Soun dashed past his two daughters, and
openned the door. Both girls tried to look at the newcomers, but Soun's
back obscured their view. Obviously, Soun was elated at his friend's
arrival.
"Genma! Old friend! It has been a long time.... And wow, such a
good looking son. I guess that we are blessed by the gods. Come in, come
in." Soun wildly gestured towards the house. Both Akane and Nabiki froze
when they saw Ranma enter with his father and mother.
Soun shouted. "Kasumi? Is dinner ready? Daughter?" Kasumi
appeared in the doorway and she said cheerfully. "Father, dinner is ready.
Oh! the guests are here!" Everyone entered the house.
* * *
Genma sat in front of a table covered with many wonderful looking
dishes, and his mouth leaked saliva onto his lap. His hand slowly picked
up his chopsticks, and reached for the food. Nodoka lighly slapped Genma's
hand. Genma looked at Nodoka his eyes forlorn and filled with lust.
Soun entered, his eyes lit with joy. "Ok, Kasumi, Nabiki, Akane.
This is my friend Genma Saotome and his family...." There was a long pause
as everyone waited for Genma to present his family. In reality, he was
drooling at the food, completely captivated. Nodoka laughed, and dug her
elbow into Genma's ribs, waking him from his dream. She smacked his head
with her hand.
Genma jumped up. "This is my son Ranma Saotome, and this is my wife
Nodoka Saotome." Soun continued. "These are my daughters, Kasumi eldest,
Nabiki, and Akane, youngest." Soun could not help thinking about his wife,
and a tear trickled down his face. Surpressing his sadness, he continued
stating the objective of this meeting.
"I know all of you must be wondering why I called this meeting.
Well, 20 years ago, while Genma and I still trained, we made an oath.....
An oath so serious as to determine the fate of the Anything Goes School....
An oath so important that our lives depended on it. We promised to marry
together out families!" Ranma stood up and knocked his father on the head.
"Pop! You didn't tell me!" Genma cringed under his son's
halfhearted attack. Akane stood up and shouted at her father.
"Father, you don't expect that I would gladly accept a forced
marriage to this person! I refuse to be forced into marriage..." Nabiki,
on the other hand had different thoughts. `Such a cute boy. Plus he could
be an income maker... It's a win-win situation...' She stood up.
"Father, I'll take him!" Everyone looked at Nabiki. Soun and Genma
started to laugh. Genma stood up. "Well that's settled... Let's eat..."
Nodoka gave Genma a dark look. Ranma jumped up and basically panicked.
"Hey, don't I have a say in this? Why do I feel like a piece of
property... I refuse to agree, I'm going..." Genma nodded to Soun, and
both men landed on top of Ranma.
* * *
Meanwhile on a beach somewhere in Japan, a small raft landed on shore.
An old diminuative man woke up from his slumber and rubbed his eyes. He
immediately muttered.
"Old pupils, your master has returned..." He patted a giant clay urn
that laid next to him. On it, was this message. "Nyiichaun Water 100%
from Jusenkyo Springs." Below this label was hastily scrawled in black.
"A present from Master Happosai to Soun and Genma." The old man started to
cackle uncontrollably.
Ok, so I admit, I'm doing another OOC... I like OOC.... Me like OOC,
