Possibly the best answer, as far as consistency, is to wait a couple of months to see 
how Viz translates Pricipal Kuno's speech. He should be showing up shortly.  That is, 
if you consider Viz's translations to be "canon." They seem to take a lot of liberties 
with the translation which make the dialogue much more idiomatic.

Of course, two months is a darned long time when you're wanting help today...
