You are not wrong - Ucchan's shop in the manga has no booths or tables -
which is precisely why Zen added that comment by Ranma.

Most restaurant scenes work best in the semi-private environs of a booth,
so that becomes the defacto standard.  Zen needed a table, so Zen added
them. ^_^
