It's like this. I always had difficulty believing that the Moon kingdom

Well, I had a theory. The Sailor Scouts are and always have been the
protectors of the Royal family and their court. The Moon Kingdom and the
entire silver Millenium were protected by a much larger group of
warriors. Since the Sailor Scouts draw their powers from the planets, I
thought it appropriate that these guardians draw their powers from stars
and constellations. They were known as Star Knights, and they kept the
peace for a thousand years.

Sounds interesting . . . and it *sort of* matches with some thoughts of my
own on a related subject.
In a fanfic that I've been trying to work on, during the time of
the Silver Millenium (which I'm told was specifically referring to the
Moon Kingdom, but I take that with a grain of salt) peace reigned across
much of the universe. There were warriors who knew that Darkness would
rise again, so they kept themselves prepared to fight against it when the
war between Good and Evil broke out again.
Many races of these warriors of Light had joined together in a
great alliance, which is known on Earth as the "Koushijin" (kou=light,
shi=warrior, jin=people). A group of Koushijin warriors was there when the
Moon Kingdom was destroyed; ironically, they'd been hoping to include the
Sailor Senshi in their alliance. The leader of the emissaries' honor guard
lost his daughter during the battle, and swore to lead a group to Earth to
begin fighting the forces of the Dark Kingdom (known via DIC as the
Negaverse of Queen Beryl).
In other stories I've been working on, some of the modern
descendants of Koushijin races have transformation and combat powers that
are *vaguely* similar to the Sailor Senshi, but considerably weaker. In a
rather confusing twist of names, the Seitenshi descendants are known as
Star Knights or Angel Knights, depending on their powers. Some of the Star
Knights *do* draw power from a constellation (as you suggested).

Things proceed as canon, until then end of the second series. My
knowledge ends with the third series, and since that story is
incomplete, I decided to avoid it. It's not random chance that Queen
Serenity sent the Moon children to our time: This is where the children
of the Star Knights ended up. Now Ghoul has reawakened, and has assumed
the control of the remains of Queen Beryl's army, and this act has
started many of the Star Knight children to have some unusual dreams,
including Leta, and, of course, Serena's brother (I'm assuming that the
Moon Kingdom is a Matriarchy.)

So, does anyone like this idea? Does anyone want to help? PLEASE!?

I have a couple of semi-personal complaints. As an otaku, I've
become relatively purist (seeking subtitled over dubbed anime, for
example), and from playing characters on anime-themed MUCKs (RanmaMUCK is
my primary RPing site but I play elsewhere as well), I've 'met' the
Japanese versions of the characters from _Sailor Moon_ - and I vastly
prefer what little I've seen of the original, unmodified version.
Especially where the names are concerned, but in addition to *that* I'm
not sure I trust the way the characters were depicted after DIC got
through with dubbing and editing.
(Side note: If you want to consider this a flame of DIC's dubbing,
go right ahead. I'd *MUCH* rather see someone commercially subtitle the
UNMODIFIED original _Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon_ - heck, if I had the
resources I'd start doing it myself. Other than that, there's fansubs -
and more power to those who do the fansubs!)
If you can find information on the *original* versions of the
Sailor Moon characters, I urge you to do so and make use of it. Hitoshi
Doi's web pages are a very good source for basic information - I don't
have the URLs, but I know that they're listed in "Yahoo!" under the Anime
header in the Comics and Animation list, which is in turn under
Entertainment (as best I recall). Yahoo! is at http://www.yahoo.com/ for
the initial menu.

Besides the above: it sounds like an interesting story. I actually
play a character on ElseMUCK who's derived from what work I've been able
to do on my Sailor Moon fanfic - due to a combination of circumstances,
she is a potential 'lesser' Sailor Senshi . . . but she doesn't know about
her powers yet, and is currently in an 'initiation' TP to get her to the
point where she learns of her powers and how to use them.
	Not only am I a MUCKer, but I'm also a storyteller/writer - and I
have a great fondness for the art of the story. :)

Good luck, AC. If you need any (more) recommendations, let me
know.

(PS: Bear in mind that there are American otaku (anime fans) who have been
Sailor Moon fans since long before DIC laid claim to the American rights
to the series, and several of them that I've 'met' online will refuse to
read fanfics based off of the dub. Reception on r.a.a.c will probably be
better if you work from the original instead of the "Travesty" (as they
call it).)
