RANMA 1/2 - FULL SALVO!
By:Paul "Happy Hentai" Ervi.
"Fanime, as you like it."
===========================================
By Paul "Salvo" Ervi, a.k.a. The Happy Hentai! All
characters involved in this fanfic (save the new character to the
universe I introduce, whose is copyright of P-P-P-Chan
Productions, all rights reserved) are copyright and trademark of
the great Rumiko Takahashi. Based on the amazing world of
Ranma 1/2 published by Viz Video Inc..
Note: This is my first attempt at a fanfic, and is also the
first in the Full Salvo! series I am planning to write. I've had this
idea for a new Ranma 1/2 character for a long time, but never
found a way to make him a reality. But since reading numerous
fanfics, I finally got the idea how he could become real. Thus,
I've developed the Full Salvo! Series. Some people may notice
that there is a similarity between my name and the name of the
new character to the Ranma universe that I introduce. This is
because I feel that since he is my character, he is like a son and
should be named after me (in a way). Anyway, that is where the
similarities end (well, some of them that is. Hey, he is my son!)
and I hope that he will make a great addition to the Ranma
universe. Special thanx goes to Caroline "Kunoichi" Seawright
for helping me get the translations for the special moves, and my
partner, President and all-around evil guy of P-P-P-Chan
Productions, Lucas "Ranchan" Muzzatti, for his computer (ask
him....). Couldn't have done it with out ya! Send
comments/flames to (Ranchan@mail.accent.net). Nihao!
EPISODE 1: ENTER SALVO - IT'S COLD COMFORT!
Chapter 1: A new dawn rises.
Morning. The sun slowly rose over the quiet district of
Nerima, in Tokyo, Japan. Quiet, that is, except over the Tendo
Dojo. "ARE YOU CRAZY, POP! Telling Akane that I asked
her to cook breakfast for me! Are you purposely trying to kill
me while I'm still young!", shouted Ranma Saotome as he
punted his father into the pond at the back of the dojo. It was
during their traditional morning training session. A sign popped
out of the water: "It's good husband training. After all, she will
be cooking for you when you are married!" "No way am I
marring that kawaikune tomboy, especially if she's going to
cook", said Ranma as he kicked Genma's sign apart, "That stuff
would kill a dead person! No way, no how am I going to eat it.
Actually, I should force you to eat it! You got me into this
mess!" Genma-panda's eyes flew open. "YOU CAN'T! I'M
YOUR FATHER!", pleaded his sign. "Serves you right, trying
to poison me first thing in the morning. Akane's cooking would
put an end to the Saotome school of.....", was all Ranma could
get out before a pot flew through the air and smacked him
upside the head. "That's enough already! Honestly, and after I
went through all the trouble of making breakfast for you!",
shouted Akane from the back of the dojo. Ranma flew towards
the pond with the pot still embedded in his head as Akane
turned around and headed for the kitchen. "Hmph!", she said,
nose turned up to the air.
"Well, are you going to try it or not!" shouted Akane.
Ranma-chan stared down at the gray substance that Akane had
called "food". "Really, Ranma, it wouldn't hurt to try it.", said
Nabiki Tendo. "Akane worked hard to make you breakfast,
Ranma", Kasumi Tendo said, "You really should try it". "Do it,
son. Make your father-in-law proud!", cried Soun Tendo. "A
sign of a true martial artist is his ability to try (under his breath:
'and survive' ) new experiences", replied Genma. Ranma-chan
shot him a 'this-is-all-your-fault' glance, and took a deep breath.
"Well, maybe if I swallow it fast I won't taste it", thought
Ranma-chan. Picking up her chopsticks, Ranma-chan picked
up a piece of the gray 'food'. Akane stared at her as she
brought it closer to her lips. Everyone at the table leaned closer
to see the action. "Here goes nothing", thought Ranma-chan as
she quickly thrust the 'food' into her mouth. Everyone stood
speechless. "Not bad, Akane.", gagged Ranma-chan.
Everyone except Akane face faulted. "You....You really mean it
Ranma?", asked a glassy-eyed Akane. "Yeah", choked Ranma-
chan, "What is it, boiled football leather? No it's roasted tire
rubber!" "THEY'RE SCRAMBLED EGGS YOU IDIOT!",
shouted Akane. Ranma-chan dropped her chopsticks as she
began to lose consciousness. "Wha....what did you put in
them", urked Ranma-chan. "Nothing, just a little milk, pepper,
horseradish, mayonnaise.......", Akane proceeded with her list of
ingredients as Ranma-chan twitched on the ground. The rest of
the group was busily wolfing down their food (which was
cooked by Kasumi thankfully) and took no notice of the thirteen
shades of green Ranma-chan was changing. Suddenly, Kasumi
spoke up, "Akane, I need to ask you a favor." Akane stopped
reading of her list of ingredients and replied, "Sure, Kasumi."
"Would you and Ranma please clean out the attic today. It's
been very messy ever since we threw the Saotome's belongings
up there. I would do it myself, but I'm just so busy...", said
Kasumi. Suddenly, Ranma-chan instantly recovered, "No
problem Kasumi! As a matter of fact we'll start right now.
C'mon Akane! Gotta get an early start!" Ranma-chan grabbed
Akane's arm before she could object and began dragging her
towards the attic. "Wait, you haven't finished your breakfast
yet!", pleaded Akane as they climbed the stairs. "So nice to see
them finally getting along, and Ranma was so eager to be alone
with Akane. I'm so proud!", cried Soun. Genma nodded.
Kasumi and Nabiki smiled. "Safe from Akane's cooking",
thought Ranma-chan with a smile.
"Hey Ranma, what is all this stuff?", asked Akane as she
opened the first box in the attic. "Just stuff Pop and I collected
during our training trip in China, Japan, across the ocean....",
replied Ranma-chan. "Across the ocean?", asked Akane.
"Yeah. Sometimes when we were swimming from Japan to
China we would run across some people on boats", said
Ranma-chan , "And sometimes we would get some souvenirs
>from them, mostly because Pop swindled them." "Oh...", said
Akane, and began to search the box's contents while Ranma-
chan tore open another box. Akane ruffled though various
books, pieces of clothing, assorted nick-knack's and other
articles until her hand came to rest on a beautiful piece of
jewelry. It was a sparkling gold pendant, with a small ruby
surrounded by an intricate gold design that resembled a upside-
down triangle. When Akane held it up to the light from the
single window in the attic, it produce a red glow that Akane
found absolutely stunning. "Ranma, where did you and your
father find this?", asked Akane as she continued to hold it to the
light. Ranma-chan looked up from the box of Chinese finger
traps she had found and stared at the pendant, "That? Pop said
he found that while we were swimming to China. Was floating
in the water or something." "It's beautiful", said Akane, basking
in it's red glow. "Pop said he was going to sell it for food, but
for some reason he didn't. Later he told me it was supposed to
grant the wearer skill and good luck, but I never believed him.",
said Ranma-chan. Noticing Akane's interest in the pendant,
Ranma-chan smiled and said, "If you like it that much Akane,
it's yours." "Really Ranma? You mean it?", asked Akane.
"Sure", said Ranma-chan. "A....Arigato Ranma", replied Akane
as she put the pendant around her neck. Suddenly, Soun and
Genma popped up through the attic door. "That's it! He's done
it! He's given her an engagement gift to make the marriage
official! Saotome, I'm so proud of our son!", cried Soun. "As
am I Tendo!", said Genma-panda's sign read. "No! It's nothing
like that! I just gave it to her because I thought it would give her
good luck! You know, make her cook better, find a husband,
look better...", shouted Ranma-chan before she was flattened by
Akane's elbow. "THANKS FOR NOTHING YOU JERK!",
said Akane as she stomped away. "Son, I'm so disappointed in
you !", cried Soun to the still-twitching Ranma-chan.
Elsewhere: The Nerima Wharf: "I wonder how life in
Nerima will be", thought the duffel-bag-carrying passenger as
the boat pulled up into the dock, "It really is quite far from
Canada, but from what Uncle Kenji told me, it's a very
interesting place to live. Besides, I vowed to Uncle that I would
make it on my own here, even though I'm only 17 years old. I
just hope I have enough money to start up the business, and
enroll in school. Once that's out of the way, I can continue my
search for the pendant." A smile formed across the passenger's
face as he picked up his bag and walked off the boat onto the
dock. "Soon, it will be mine!", he thought.
Ja ne!!
