10, let's get this straight. If it's old, the following applies.
  it's two feet tall
  it's perverted
  it's crazy
  it's Really manipulative
  it flies well in a ballistic trajectory when propelled by a foot,
mallet, hammer, or spatula.

11. In anime, everything, and I DO mean EVERYTHING is taken to extreme.
If a character is violent, they are psychotically violent. If they an
airhead, then they generally have enough helium stuffed between their
ears to get the entire populace of New York talking like chipmunks. If
starship-mounted weapon is the main 'gun' of the ship, expect it to be
able to wipe out an entire enemy fleet with one shot.

12. Female Redheads are a common fixture in anime, and follow several
rules: 1. They must be cute, gorgeous or drop dead stunning; 2. They
must be perpetually unable to get a date, no matter how attractive. (Aww
c'mon, you know me! I HAD to put this one in!)

13. Anime heros are ALWAYS faced with impossible odds. Usually they have
one good warrior/mecha/starship/magical device to compensate, and
therefore are able to consistently trash the baddies.

14. Do NOT make anime girls with mallets angry. Ever.
