Don :

Webdragon seems to have a lot problem with people defeating Dragons.
<clip>
In RPG, beating dragons is like everyday expereince. I'm sure any of my
character from FF3 can defeat all 8 dragons in that game
single-handedly. In Lunar series Dragons are constantly slapped around
and killed by Dragonmasters and ex-dragonmasters.

Well, that's in vid game RPG. I'm talking about the AD&D type
dragons, you know, the ones that can raze entire cities with impunity? Tell

Dragons!?!
it all depends. ther are many different types of dragons, from the
intelligent winged steed/companions of Pern, to the intelligent near-gods
of DragonLance, to the Omnipotent god-beings of the Death's Gate series,
all the way down to the third-rate monsters of Final Fantasy, one, two
and three.

A dragon is what you make of it, and the sheer power of the dragon<<to an
author>> is that it can be made into ANYTHING. You can use a dragon as
merely an entertaining character, or as a deus ex reptilia. The dragon
character is not as stereotyped as other basic forms, and so there is
_Much_ more room to '''play''' with them..

Smaug was a dragon. So was Silvera, one of the hosts of the lance. The
manifestation of the god Paladine is a platinum dragon. And my one-man
team in Final fantasy one (or two or three) just defeated five nameless
Dragon 1's..

It's all what you make of it, but by and large, Dragons truly are one of
the most awe-inspiring forces for good or evil (or <HaOs) available to
the author.

you know, this could be considered Spam.. oh well.
