Here's some more fic ideas I thought I'd throw up onto the list to see
if anything sticks. By the way, as always, if anyone else wants to use
part or whole of my idea, they are free to. Get it out before the turn
of the century and you'll have beaten me anyway.

Ranma 1/2:

This idea was inspired by 'Thy Outward Part' and its kin, although it
pretty much the opposite take. Happosai gets his hands on some of that
"waterproof soap" and derives a new extrat from it, which, when
dissolved in water (yes, I know this doesn't make a lot of sense, since
its waterproofing soap, but its not supposed to) it can lock a Jusenkyou
sufferer in cursed form for up to a week (he beefed up the formula). Of
course he dumps some in the Koi pond, and when Ranma falls in, he's
stuck as a girl for a week. Happosai spends the rest of the fic in
orbit.
After this little incident, Ranma is forced to attend school as a girl.
This means almost endless Kunou alerts. Ranma finds out there's a new
exchange student in the school, a nondescript guy named Wataru. He's a
bit of a loner, and there are some nasty rumours about his family, and
everybody generally avoids him. At one point Ranma bumps into him in the
hall, causing him to drop his books. Kunou sees this as an attack, and
tries to pummel good ol' Wataru into Okonomyaki. Ranma of course sends
Kunou to join Happosai.
I know what you're thinking, so stop right now and bear with me. This
isn't quite what you think.
Ranma starts to feel sorr for Wataru. He isn't such a bad guy. So Ranma
decides to befriend him. And get you're mind out of the gutter, 'cause
Ranma isn't even thinking about THAT. In fact, Ranma kinda forgets he's
a girl at the moment. And Wataru doesn't go looking for a date right
off, either. It starts off basically how Ranma intended, as a
friendship, one that Wataru sorely needs.
Of course, Wataru starts seeing Ranma as more than that. nothing
lecherous, he just decides that he likes her, a lot. Kinda like Keichi
and Belldandy (well, Keichi's side, anyway. Ranma is no Belldandy!).
Unfortunately, Ranma completely misses this (he's good at that sort of
thing) until it's WAAAY too late.
Now he has to deal with Wataru, who has fallen in love with his girl
side. He isn't interested in Wataru AT ALL, at least not that way, but
he still considers him a friend. Wataru's fragile ego, which Ranma has
built up over the week, would be completely totalled by the revelation
that Ranma is really a guy, and would probably send him right back into
his shell.
How does Ranma deal with this?

BubbleGum Crisis:

This is an idea that is an extension of my "Dark Phoenix" storyline,
currently in synopsis form, but not written up. In the events of Dark
Phoenix, Leon finally resigns from AD Police, fed up with dealing with
the bureacratic bullshit. He is eventually retained by the Knight Sabers
as an investagative agent. By the end of the story, he's managed to
'acquire' a hardsuit of his own (Okay, okay, he offs the previous owner
and filches it! But the jerk was already dead anyway). Sylia has agreed
to let him onto the front lines, as soon as he gets up to par. Which
means combat simulations, training, etc. Let's face it, a stock Leon
isn't up to the KS standard. Meanwhile Mackie has taken the newly
acquired Phoenix armor apart and is rebuilding it to KS specs (it was a
little behind KS state of the art, with a few important exceptions which
made it a valuable acquisition).
At Genom headquarters, the Boomer builder from Bubblegum Crisis #8 (I'll
look up his name later) has been sprung from jail. Wat, you think Genom
is going to let go the guy who build boomers that were capable of
defeating the Knight Sabers? It was just bad timing that they picked
that moment to upgrade their armor. Anyway, he's been assigned to the
task of analysing an interesting piece of salvaged equipment, namely,
the Griffon from 'Revenge Road'. It seems good ol' Gibson incorporated a
Boomer brain into the thing, and Genom wants it analysed. They think it
might have military applications. Of course, our friend the builder of
boomer sees it as an opportunity to take another shot at the Knight
Sabers. Seems he's dug up the identity of one of them, namely one Priss
S. Asagari, pop singer and future street pizza. He rebuilds the Griffon,
arming it with a whole slew of goodies. He sends it out after Priss, who
is apparently killed (but actually survives, and lays low at Sylia's
request).
Leon finds out about this, and essentially snaps. He pulls a 'Priss',
taking the Phoenix hardsuit and a new prototype motoslav that Mackie was
working on, code-named: Streehawk (yes, Mackie has been watching too
many American reruns). He then begins track the Griffon, while Sylia
works to find out who reactivated it, and where how they found out Priss
was a Knight Saber (Priss has a really bad case of cabin fever at this
point). the Griffon itself also still has all of Gibson's rage and
hatred locked up in its circuits, and it isn't behaving too predictably
either.

So, Whadaya think?
