No.  I believe a revengefic is when the anime chararacters jump into the
real world and start hunting otaku.  A Self-Infliction fic is like the GSIF
in that the author is a character, but the author also seems to be a target
for all sorts of trouble.  These generally occur in violent animes like BGC
or Ranma, and end up having the author being trashed more then anyone else.
At least, that's how I know them as.

Oh, and this time around I managed to drag a bunch of other authors into
it, too (with their permission, although I think some of them regret
it).
