This is the beginning of a Kodachi/Ranma fic. Kinda rushed, not even
anywhere near started, but tell me what you think so far.
=====================================================================
"Dear Kuno, bringing Ranma from training trip in China. Be there
soon! ...Saotome" was all the postcard said.
Tatiwaki Kuno sweatbeaded.
"Sasuke?" he asked his personal ninja. "Who is this, 'Saotome'?"
"Ahh, Master Kuno. That is an old friend of your long missing
father." Sasuke kneeled on the opposite side of the table where
Kuno sat. "Long ago, they arranged that his son and your father's
daughter...ummm..."
Sasuke fiddled for a second.
"What is it, you fool?"
The ninja quickly regained his barings, "Well sir, they were
arranged to be...married."
Kunou sweatbeaded again.
"Married?"
"Yes, Young Master."
"MY younger sister?"
Sasuke nodded gravely.
Kunou closed his eyes and let silence be the moderator of
the room. He opened them and gave Sasuke a grim look.
"P...please bid her come here."
Sasuke immediately whirled from his knees and ran down a series
of halls, looking for the subject of his search.
Tatiwaki Kunou merely stared at the cherry blossoms, shedding
themselves from their roots outside in the yard; they were slowly
dying.
"How appropriate" he thought as a grating laughter echoed
throughout the mansion.

"ThOrNy Beginnings"
Chapter 1
---------------------------------------------------------------------
"NO WAY, POP! I AIN'T GOING THROUGH WITH IT!" screamed a rather
feminine voice. "And you CAN'T make me!"
A red-haired Chinese girl ran into sight from behind a corner, carrying
a backpack. Onlookers didn't seem to notice much until from around the
corner tromped a huge, puffed-up, Panda bear. Its face held little
expression except for the slitted eyes through which it peeked.
They were eyes of anger and disappointment.
It whirled out a wooden sign out of nowhere (later revealed to be
hammerspace), which read, 'YOU *WILL* GO, YOUNG LADY!'
The girl's eyes lit up, and stopped running.
"Was that supposed to be funny?!" she commented as she leaped up and kicked
the bear onto its rump. It growled in protest and sweeped the girl's legs out
from underneath her.
"Well, I still think the whole thing--" she leaped to her feet and grabbed the
panda's arm, hurling it a few feet down the way, "--SUCKS!"
"Besides," she grimaced, "this guy 'KUNOU' sounds like a real nut case! How
could you promise me to someone without even asking?!!" She grabbed her
backpack off the ground nearby.
The panda grunted something unintelligble, which was really the only kind it
was capable of. It lay on the ground, watching nothing in particular, as if
absorbing what the young lady was saying. Others on the street started
murmuring
and watching in awe.
That's it....lemme know...I need to start doing something solid. I'm starting to
get the impression that I'm the resident weirdo or somethin'. ^_^ (Uhh, no
comment
on that one, please)
