I'm considering several things when reading fanfics. Mostly its just
simply the efort someone put into it, you can always tell when someone
decided to just throw together a few ideas without really thinking about
it or putting forth any kind of real effort.
I consider what makes me write fanfic. I've always been a big 'what if?'
person, as I'm sure most of you are too. But what ismpires you to write
fanfics? About any series? Any genre`? For the sole purpose of
entertaining others?
Hmmm....for me it's a combination of things. Part of it is, like
several of you have said, is that 'what if?' thing...which is one of the
reasons I'm writing that Futaba-kun Change!! fanfic. As to what
inspires me, it's generally that I'm just doing something (almost
anything from sitting arround taking notes in class to just resting my
mind) when an idea just pops into my mind...sometimes its because of
things that I've read, but lots of times it's just spontanious to me.
As to genre, I don't think there is one specific type I like to type.
So far, I've only written comedies, but there is no real reason for this
except that I've yet to have an idea for a serious story.
But I think the main reason I write is that I hope that my stories will
entertain, or at least interest, others. I just want to do something
that gives me a sence of accomplishment...that I CAN write things others
enjoy, or at least take the time to read. I write my stories to be read
by others...otherwise, I might as well just keep a diary.
