So don't hold back.  Let 'em know.

I *always* have "Comments and Criticism Welcome!" at the beginning of my
stories.  I *mean* it.  I want to know if you hate it, and why you do.
I'm sure most other people here have exactly the same desire.  And if
they don't, if they want to hear only positive things and yell at you
for saying negative things, they shouldn't bother posting to the FFML in
the first place.  :)

Of course, that's just my opinion.  I could be wrong.  :)

So could we all, but if we don't get any feedback, how are we to know?

You learn more from your mistakes than your successes.

And, of course, as Bert suggests, letting your readers know that you've
read _their_ C&C encourages them to repeat the process.  And so the
world becomes a brighter place.... Everybody a little happier and
feeling more appreciated. ^_^
