Actually this might have some very dangerous side effects.  Can 
you imagine the damage that would be caused by telepathic (or even 
empathic) linkage feedback if Akane and Ranko should coincide with PMS????

Actually, I personally think that a telepathic link like that would drive 
two people apart, not together. They might love each other, but they are 
both very private with their true emotions (If they could just come out 
and say it, swallow their pride, argh!)

It's like that Red Dwarf episode, where Kryten, Cat and Lister are trapped
in quarantine together. At the start, all but Kryten are confident that
they'll be able to get through living in close quarters, since they're
good friends. But they're down each other's throats within days, because
everyone needs some personal space.

An empathic link, however, where they can only feel each other's mood,
would probably bring them together.

        Empathy like that would do more than let them feel each other's
mood, they would exprirance each other's feelings.  It would cut down on a
lot of the arguing that Ranma and Akane get into, and the major draw back,
the lack of white lies, wouldn't come into play.  (Ranma, white lie?  It
would have come into play about Akane's cooking by now if he was going to
use one.)  I have to agree with you about telepathy.  As Tom Smith sung:

        Whoever thinks telepathy is wonderfully mystic
        is celabite, misogynist and maybe masochistic.
        I always have to filter through and tanslate double meanings,
        And what it's done to my love life gives me hermaic leanings.
